Update- I went last night about 10:30pm and was seated in the patio area. The server came to the table without even greeting us, asking for an ID or Credit card to start a tab. Mandatory 20% gratuity is added after 10pm. Confused because I wasn't seated at the bar and not ordering drinks, just ordering some food. I gave her my card because we couldn't place an order without giving it to our server. Horrible and red flag. We ordered an appetizer of spinach dip, chicken pita , and chicken tenders. Our server disappeared. We got our appetizer and food at the same time, with our drinks sweet tea and water, another server brought our food. Still no, sight of our original server that took our order. I usually enjoy the chicken pita, but the chicken last night was tough and not marinated, with a great taste like my prior visit. I didn't/ couldn't eat it, had a weird taste. The spinach dip was not mixed well, plus we no longer wanted it because all of our food was brought to our table at the same time. The tenders were barely tossed in the sauce. No refills still no sight of the server. Finally , she brought our receipt to close out and our mandatory tip was almost an additional $10 . The server said she was busy with her other tables inside...she gave no apology for her horrible service and lack of attentiveness to our table. As someone who always tips for great service, I feel like I was robbed for having to tip for horrible service. Perhaps the restaurant should focus on better food quality and customer service....waiting tables 101, versus instituting a mandatory gratuity after 10 pm. If you only have 3 servers, don't be greedy and pack all the tables with customers if you can't deliver a good dining experience.

Read moreMy family and I went to Dilworth earlier this week for some dinner. When we walked in the servers were sitting on the tables while they were waiting for customers. The host went to seat us at a high table at the bar even though we have 2 small children, 3 and 6, and we had to request to be moved to a booth or a table in the dining room. My son ordered the kids spaghetti and I’ve attached a photo but my son had almost choked and spit out what appears to be a plastic bread clip/tie that was in his food. A part of it was missing and we are assuming he ate it. We spoke to Randy who said he was the manager and when we showed him what we found in our sons food he said, and I quote “wow I’m gonna have to yell at someone for this” and left. Maybe two minutes later he was laughing in the bar area with several others gossiping around. He never asked if our son was okay or had a single concern in the world. Our server Paul told us that we would not be charged for his meal but then said we wouldn’t have been charged anyways because kids eat free on Thursdays. So they “comp’d” an already free meal, as a solution. We have eaten at Dilworth several times and have overlooked minor kitchen mishaps like putting a wrong ingredient on a burger but my son almost choking on a foreign object that he found in his pasta is absurd. Now my son is scared that plastic is in his belly. We paid and left so not to cause a scene in front of our children but my husband called the ask the name of the owner so he could contact them and Rondasia the hostess was very passive aggressive on the phone. He had called a second time to speak to the manager again and then she claimed there was no manager on duty, even though she did verify that the man we spoke to was the manager in the first conversation they had. I reached out to their owner via email and it’s been several days and no response. I wish I could give a 0 star review and we will not...
Read moreI wish I could give this establishment 5 stars because they did provide excellent customer service. They were very nice and efficient. I can't give it to them though because there flavoring and food I feel can be an acquired taste. I had the spinach artichoke dip twice and both times there were big pieces of artichoke and a very strong garlic after taste. It was not bad where you could not eat it but it was very strong in flavor. The tortilla chips were very good though.
I had as an entree the steak dinner with broccoli and garlic mashed potatoes. Again because the owner/manager was providing exceptional customer service they gave me a free certificate for the cost of my first meal to try and improve on my experience there. So, that's why I tried the exact same meal again. It was a little better the second time, but the broccoli taste and looked like it came out of a can and had all the nutrients boiled and sauteed out of it. The color was gone and the stalks were extremely limp.
The potatoes just like the dip is extremely garlicky and I like garlic. I cook with it all the time. It was the type of potatoes where there were chuncks of potatoes still in it. I don't mind mashed potatoes cooked that way, but when you taste how heavy the garlic flavor is as you're bitting into a chunk of potatoe then you question if it is potatoe or is it a chunk of garlic. The steak itself was cooked to the right temperature but this time the seasoning was lacking. It was a pesto sauced steak, but I did not have them put it on the steak. I just wanted to taste the flavor of the steak and it could have used a little more salt and pepper to bring up the natural flavors of the meat.
Again the service I received was spot on and I will encourage any and everyone to go patron this restaurant because they will serve you well. I am just being honest when I say don't go expecting the food to be as great as...
