Took the weekend CNA I course. They did a wonderful job preparing us for the state examination. I'd looked over courses for hours in the area. I was fearful that certain places were a joke. This location was easy to work with though initially hard to find and figure out getting a badge and parking. Besides this, the staff were devoted to assuring we provided proper care to residents in our clinicals. The great training became most evident at stat examinations when people from other schools arrived and were entirely unprepared though taking it a second time. The three young women from my school with me passed with flying colors. We were nervous but CCHS made us know the material and not miss hardly anything. Thank you CCHS for the wonderful training you provided. The facility is shared with the Nursing students, which had it fairly up to date with equipment and plenty of room...
Read moreI see a lot of negative reviews from applicants, but I have had zero issues with the admissions dept., but I also take accountability for my own path and have followed up when needed. If you expect a college to hold your hand through the application process, you probably aren't prepared to be a student. I applied to both the CNA classes and General Education (pre nursing) classes and was accepted to both. My advisor and everyone from the business office have been great so far, but they are busy, so you will need to stay on top of your own communication with them. They aren't going to call you and chase you down for steps you've missed via previous communications. Hope this helps future students in the process of applying and getting started. Tuition is a bit more than I was expecting, but they have smaller classes so we will see. Orientation...
Read moreI heard a few good things and more bad things about this school but decided to apply anyway. I applied in May, although i knew it was a slim chance I’d get in since my grades from High school were poor, and also from 11 years ago. i submitted all documents needed AND PAID the application fee. This school didn’t even have the decency to send me a response letter to let me know if i was accepted or denied. I logged in to the site when they’re supposedly supposed to let you know if you’ve been accepted and there’s no status answer. Regardless if i was denied letting someone know is the proper way to handle things. On top of that i reached out to two admissions officials and they’ve both ignored my emails. I can’t remember the woman’s name but i remember a mans...
