I am delighted to write a 5-star review for Rooster's Wood-Fired Kitchen Uptown Charlotte located at 150 N College St in Charlotte, NC. This restaurant left a lasting impression on me with its amazing atmosphere, exceptional food presentation, and outstanding customer experience.

From the moment I stepped into Rooster's, I was captivated by the ambiance. The restaurant exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it the perfect place for a memorable dining experience. The attention to detail in the food presentation was remarkable. Each dish was beautifully plated, showcasing the culinary expertise of the chefs.

The customer experience staff at Rooster's truly went above and beyond to ensure a memorable visit. I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday at the restaurant, and to my surprise, they offered any dessert from the menu as a special treat. This gesture made me feel valued and appreciated as a customer.

The restaurant boasts a full bar and wine list, offering a wide range of beverages to complement the delicious meals. The open kitchen cooking concept adds an element of excitement and allows guests to witness the culinary magic happening firsthand.

The service at Rooster's was fast and efficient. The staff promptly attended to our needs, and the timing between appetizers and the main course was on point. Our glasses were constantly filled, and used items were promptly removed from our table, ensuring a clean and comfortable dining environment.

What impressed me the most was when the staff checked on our timeline for a concert we were attending after dinner. They took the initiative to ensure that we would make it to the concert on time, displaying a level of attentiveness that exceeded my expectations.

Rooster's Wood-Fired Kitchen Uptown Charlotte is a must-visit restaurant when in Charlotte. The amazing atmosphere, impeccable food presentation, and exceptional customer experience make it a standout dining destination. The full bar, wine list, open kitchen cooking, fast service, and the staff's attention to detail add to the overall dining experience. I highly recommend Rooster's for anyone looking for great food cooked to their request, impeccable service, and a dining experience...

We had a terrible experience at this place. The waiter was completely aloof. We were a party of 9 and he suggested we order appetizers. There is not a section in the menu called appetizers, so we asked him what he would recommend, he started reading dish by dish and sides, to then said: pretty much you can order anything as an appetizer.

The menu was confusing and we had to Google lots of items to find out more about the ingredients. We decided to order the charcuterie board and onion rings to have as an appetizer . We didn't see the waiter for at least half an hour, not once he asked if we wanted water. The charcuterie board arrived with lots of burnt toast. The onion rings didn't arrive.

When they brought our food they had wrong lots of the dinner plates, they swapped some main meals for Mac and cheese, one of our salmons was missing, and oh surprise the "appetizer" onion rings arrived while we were already eating the main curse. We asked one of the waiters for the salmon and other side items, he said they could start making them. We had been there for over 40 minutes. We decided to cancel the order. We had to share our food with our friends that didn't get their food.

The waiter didn't come back until the end to check how we were going to pay. We had to constantly call him to order drinks, otherwise he would have come. There was no more customers in the first floor besides us, yet he didn't mind to offer good service.

Terrible service, ok food but not good enough for the price paid. Nine of us weren't happy with this place. We will not be back and I do not recommend it. I give 2 stars because my peach...

There were four of us eating together. We were in town for a conference.

One ordered the chicken, another the salmon, one ordered the fried chicken skins, and I ordered the braised beef. Three of us loved our dishes. The braised beef was so tender that no knife was needed to cut it. It just fell apart with a fork. Tasted amazing too. But my friend who got the fried chicken skins was thoroughly disappointed, enough so that she sent it back and got the BBQ chicken instead.

We also got the pimento cheese and pickled veggies for appetizers. Both were very good. Pimento cheese was stellar.

For sides, we got brussel sprouts (excellent), garden peas (meh, no better than frozen peas from the store), golden rice (good), mac and cheese (fine), and the sweet potatoes.

Oh boy. The sweet potatoes were terrible! The first person to try them ate one slice then carefully pushed the other slices to the side of her plate. She was too polite to say anything. I tried them next. Gross. They tasted like they had "turned", as in they had been left out for a few weeks and had started to become rotten. They were neither sweet nor potato-y. There were bitter and rotten. We all tried them and all felt the same way. They were really, really bad. We're not sure if we got a bad batch or if someone actually thinks they taste good, but stay far away from them. We were genuinely worried we were going to get food poisoning from trying them, that's how bad they were.

Service was good. Ambiance was fine. Some strange decorations, but okay. Pretty pricey. Not sure I would go back. Maybe if someone else was paying. But definitely no...

Multilevel restaurant tucked in BOA! We sat near the open kitchen and it was great. You could see the items being made and the hustle and bustle of the kitchen. It's dimly lit, so it gives warm and cozy vibes. We I didn't know it was an a-la-cart menu till we got there. So check the full menu when before you go! There's not a huge California wine selection; it's more international with France/Italy/Argentina leading the way. I kept it simple with a smooth Rosé (Faísom) from France. We had the Potato Gnocchi with Braised Beef in a tomato sauce. Thie didn't need sides. It came as a whole meal unto itself. The Gnocchi were tender and not gummy, the meat robust as it was Sous vide. The herb marinated shrimp, Calabrian Chili Butter, was delectable. The pan-fried corn had a nice crisp bite, well seasoned and buttery. I didn't care gor the Brussels Sprouts. I was hoping they were good as it was they're halved/grilled and loaded with Bacon, Cashews, Provolone, and a Sherry Vinegar. They feel flat. They needed a sauce or drizzle of balsamic and seasoning. Now, the Mac-n-Cheese was hitting. They add goat milk, which elevated the flavor. It does provide a slight tang. I would have never thought to add that. There's a traditional cheese crust and absolutely no breadcrumbs ( Thanks). We rounded it off with the Spiced cheesecake with praline topping and fresh whipped cream. It was a delectable and delicious dinner with great service

Attended Rooster’s for the first time before heading to a Hornets game as a early Christmas gift. It was one of the best dining experiences I had in 2022. Carly our server was fantastic, and super knowledgeable about the menu which I appreciate. She was accommodating to all of our requests and timely in doing so. Starting off the pizza and bisque were outstanding. The bisque had a velvety texture and smooth tomato flavor complimented by the basil oil and salty goat cheese. The pizza was equally delicious and simple which I think is the best and allowed for the good ingredients to shine. Olives are a no for me, but my girlfriend enjoyed them so I’d say they pass the test as well. Lastly, the faux shrimp & grits I ordered was really well done. Shrimp grilled perfectly, with the Calabrian chili butter to give it another layer of flavor. Paired with creamy grits, you can’t go wrong. The star of the night however was the pork tenderloin. Perfectly cooked and nothing goes better with pork then apple. The two combined with the butternut squash on the side was the perfect bite. Overall, a gem of a restaurant in Charlotte and I highly recommend this place if you have yet to go.
