GREAT BEER,. BETTER PEOPLE
My wife. Toddler and I returned home this evening from , possibly my favorite Wednesday evening destination, chat..brew only to find my wife's phone missing,. To be fair,. My wife is lovely, creative, beautiful,. In addition to being somewhat scatterbrained and a little bit pregnant,. So this is not en entirely new scenario for us. I began to call cbc, after closing time in search of said phone and I was greeted with a friendly voice on the other end who immediately remembered us and began looking for my wife's phone.. to no avail she offered to turn off the music so they I could call again. When I did I was answered by the same familiar voice on my wife's phone.. now well after closing time. This staff member,. Who I will not name as she is far too humble told me that she would be there for a while longer and they I could come on down to retrieve the phone. My wife has been working from home since this pandemic began and she could not wait until the following afternoon for her phone,. . so back in the car I went to fetch said phone. Upon my arrival at chat. Brew I didn't even have to get out of my car, before I was met by the very same staff member who had closed out my tab only an hour beforehand. Again, this staff member isnfsr too hobble to take the credit for her exceptional service so we can just call her "dreadlocks". Dreadlocks appeared next to my car as of my magic, and refused to accept my tip, claiming that it was simply " part of the job". Dreadlocks may not know the impression that she made on my family this evening,. But the world certainly needs more people like her, and we could definitely use some more chat, brew along the...
Read moreI was visiting my girlfriends family as we all went to this bar. I had 2 beers at clydes before I came here. When we walked in they instantly refused to allow anyone to give me a drink. I saw they had mixers and was interested in how they worked so I walked up stairs and the minute I looked through the glass an employee said hey buddy I've got a special drink for ya it's a water. At first I thought ok cool he is being nice. I asked about the process of making the beer and went back downstairs to my girlfriends family. As we passed around 4 different beers taste testing a man from the bar came out and said I was cut off the minute I came in. Obviously the entire family and I sat our drinks down and left to the nice bar of southside. With all this said I was not stumbling, slurring, being baligerant, or picking arguements. There was no reason for them to have been so rude and assume who is and is not drunk the first 30 seconds someone walks in. With all this being said I will never suggest this place if your from out of town or in town. Opinions create themselves so I'll let you decide if you...
Read moreOur first visit was this weekend (friday 6-3-22) This is one of the breweries we had not yet hit in town and it is conveniently situated next door to the Signal and we had time for a quick pre game.
I had the Wildwood Sour with Raspberry and my lady had the Chestnut Street Brown ale and we split a pretzel and beer cheese.
We were perfectly happy with our brews. They very good and fit our expectations of what the particular styles should be. Well done on those 2. The selection looked interesting enough to bring us back and I'm particularly Interested in trying the habanero beer!
Our snack was great! The big pretzel was roughly the size of my entire face and the beer cheese was super tasty.
We didn't get to spend a lot of time in but everything that we did experience was on point and the big open windows looking into the brewing area are cool and make the room seem big. Bar staff seemed pretty chill and it was an overall laid back environment. There was nothing at all to keep us from coming back again soon.
Come to town and we'll take ya! Drink local....
