Matilda Midnight — Restaurant in Chattanooga

If I could give this place 6 stars, I would. What an unexpected surprise tucked away in a cute little Chattanooga hotel! Immediately upon arriving at the hotel, the service was incredible, from the concierge at the door, to the bar staff, it made me seriously regret not staying at the hotel itself. But to the bar itself, also incredible. We were told after sitting down that they had just rolled out a new menu, and I can't speak for the atmosphere and presentation of previous menus, but this one was incredible. Astrology themed and printed on a beautiful card (we wanted to steal one, but we didn't) the menu sets the tone for the incredibly unique drinks it describes. The cocktails were beautiful and delicious. And while the low light in the bar doesn't lend to the best photo ops, it does promote enjoying the moment and you can grab some great selfies in your cute outfit in the hotel lobby which is sunlit and decorated in a great mid-century modern vibe. Cue the Mad Men theme. Cannot recommend this place...

Lots of changes recently - used to be my favorite place in town. The salmon flatbread is awesome, drinks are hit-and-miss but when you find one you like... it's heavenly. Decor is very, very, very cute, and after my last experience here I suggest coming in just for pictures/design inspo and leaving immediately. Had a few friends meet me at the bar here for my birthday and I'm still embarrassed I did, days later. We made the most of it, but it was a horrible experience. Everyone that worked there (except for the sweet and very stylish man at the front desk) was so rude to me I cried on the way to another location. Turned out to be a great birthday, but do not make the same mistake I did! Wanted to give one star but I have had better experiences in the past. Hopefully this was a one time misstep, but unfortunately I'm so burned I'll never be back...

I randomly discovered this hotel bar late one night as I was walking along in downtown Chattanooga and noticed their sign. On walking in I discovered this was quite an interesting and eclectic spot for an adult beverage. They do have a very interesting selection of beverages and the patrons were even more interesting than the beverages. You get excellent service here along with the fantastic ambiance. This is a very unique and fascinating spot in Chattanooga to investigate as part of your adventures in the downtown area. Overall it is certainly one of the more unique places I have visited in the...
