Our initial waiter she seemed really flustered and confused when taking our order but was really nice to my toddler. After she took our order we never seen her again; two different waiters brought us our food. when we got her attention just to ask for some sauces that we requested when we ordered she took forever and then was very rude bringing them to the table and only brought us 2/3 requested.. then she ignored us- checked on all surrounding tables multiple times keeping her back to us the entire time. We were so confused on what was going on.. near the end she FINALLY popped in on us as we had to basically force her to acknowledge us.. I requested a burger to go (as I informed her I was going to do this as soon as we sat down) and a refill on a pop.. I would say another good 20 minutes had passed; no pop.. no nothing.. we waited and waited patiently.. then again another waiter brought us our food not her.. it was on a plate instead of a to go box and no pop refill. I explained to the waiter “I’m so sorry - that was to go; but could we also get a to go cup of pop and some extra boxes too.. I can’t seem to get my waiter”.. he came back immediately and was so helpful to a table that wasn’t his.. another 10 minutes go by and she finally comes out of the kitchen with food for another table and stopped in and said “do you need anything other than the check” we said no we got it all thank you. She comes give us our checks- I pay with a credit card and my friend pays with cash... my friend was visibly upset at this time with our service, as so was myself. I wanted the gentleman who spent his whole night waiting on us to get the tip.. as I felt we were treated with no respect and blatantly ignored by our main waitress as we watched her check on other tables around us multiple times but never on us. Well she returns and give me my card but TOOK ALL OF MY FRIENDS CHANGE - mind you my friend was so upset she probably wasn’t going to tip .. NEVER told the waitress to “keep the change” and she ran away from the table. I still tipped roughly $3.64 on a $36 bill because my toddler did make a mess on the floor and I felt horrible- and personally found another employee and gave the gentleman another $2 cash for his help tonight. My mother is a waitress and I’ve never shown disrespect to a fellow waiter ever as I understand the pressure they are under so for me to be treated so poorly with no excuse was beyond uncalled for. But, at the end of the day our waiter STOLE from my friend - regardless if she felt “owed” the change or anything whatever you just can’t do that. We wanted to approach a manager that moment but were so heated we felt it best to leave and...
Read moreIdk how this place could have 4 1/2 stars. I wouldn’t even give it one. I was there last week with a friend and we sat at the bar. For one, I noticed that some employees had a name tag on, but the bartender who waited on us did not. That’s probably on purpose bc she was the nasty and rude, beyond belief, and her service, on a 1-10, was about a 3. guess she didn’t remember her name is on the receipt. DANA. She looked at us and talked to us like we were the worst thing that ever happened to her. If we asked for anything extra that she had to walk in the back for, god forbid, she literally rolled her eyes in our face. It wasn’t just us though, she talked to other customers the same and fellow employees, I felt bad for them bc she was snapping at them and talking to them like they were below her. Relax Dana!!! , you’re a bartender at Applebee’s. What gives you the nerve to talk to anyone the way you do. I normally don’t have a problem telling people exactly how I feel, but I was with a friend and that’s not her style so I didn’t. But sure enough, I came back from the bathroom and my friend said to me “man, the bartender really hates her job or us”. She is enough to make me never come back there again. You could give the food away, btw the way is all gross, and if she was waiting on me I’d never step foot in there agai! For real, she’s that unpleasant and rude. I guess I got what I paid for, I mean, she’s an adult bartender at an Applebee’s. lol. Someone should remind her of that, it might humble her, or at least get her to talk to ppl with respect. Oh and one more thing, I guess she was the manager, because she came over and asked how everything was. I could literally smell the booze on her from the night before. But she wasn’t hiding it. She looked like she just rolled out of bed, hair in a messy lose bun, and last nights makeup on, outfit all wrinkled and a mess, I mean, come on, you’re serving ppls food, at least look like you showered. Sloppy and...
Read moreDecided to stop by today with my family of 4 for lunch. Mine you as soon as we walked in we noticed the place had a few tables and about 5 people were waiting and sitting up front at the door. The hostess didn't greet us and just looked at us. I told the hostess it's 4 of us. The hostess told us it would be a 15 - 20-minute wait. We decided to wait and give our name to the hostess.
Another group of 4, 2, and 3 came in after us. At first, me and my husband were confused as to why there was a wait when it was not even a full house. We both assume that maybe there are shortage of staff. 10 minutes went by, 2 person's name was called to be seated. Me and my husband thought we were next. Nope! We were skipped! Not once but TWICE! How do a group of 4 and 3 get seated before us when we got there before them?
I spoke up and loudly said to the hostess and another employee who was about to seat the next group down. I said, "Excuse me, I thought we were next?" The hostess and employee were confused like they didn't understand what I was saying. The group of 3 that was going to be seated mentioned, "They were here before we and haven't been seated. Another group was seated before them even though they came after us."
My point exactly! How do you skip us and seat 2 other groups that came after us?! I get it! It's lunchtime, the staff is short, etc but that's not acceptable!
My husband looked at me and said let's go somewhere else. I told the hostess never mind. We're gonna go somewhere else and walk out.
Management needs to retrain employees. If you going to be using a waitlist system for seating, use it correctly because we were NEVER on the waitlist. Retrains hostess to be more welcoming. The hostess this afternoon did not have a warm welcome. Like she hates the jobs. Not one person that came through that door was greeted while we...
