This is the best pour of Guinness I’ve ever had. We are visiting Chicago from Texas and visited multiple bars, even the Guinness brewery. We can confidently say this is hands down the best Guinness and atmosphere by far from any other place we have tried. If you are in the area definitely give this bar a try - you won’t regret it.

So refreshing - a perfect friendly pub for anyone who wants a pint of Guinness but isn’t precious about it. Great whiskey selection, the barkeep is brief but in a supremely friendly and efficiently, and wants to learn your name before what you drink. Music is hit or miss… but even the misses hit. Come drink here.

Been a regular since the pub reopened. It is a great place for a quiet drink during the week, my husband and I are always in. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere not over-done. 10 of 10 I always bring friends and family here from out of town.

Wonderful bar with wonderful people. Electric scenery. Outstanding ambiance and captivating music. Best bartender service in the city of Chicago. I refuse to have my Guinness stouts poured by anybody that is not associated with Celtic Crossings. The Irish vibes in this place make you want to learn Gaelic just so you can tell the bartender who poured up your drink you love them in a second language, and then order a second and possibly even third Irish car bomb in the proper Irish way. Think of this place like the Michael Jordan of Irish pubs, except this time he never retires and ends up winning 8 straight. Then after he wins 8 straight, he retires for one more additional year to return to baseball (except this time he’s actually good and wins the World Series in 6 games, Jordan never goes to 7), before ultimately making his long anticipated return to the NBA in pursuit of his 9th and final championship. Now, put that into the perspective of an Irish pub. Yeah, that’s the standard this place...

Super authentic Irish pub equipped, very quaint...... sat at the bar while waiting for dinner.... 2 bartenders on duty seemed chatty with their regulars. I kept to myself & drank a couple of their top shelf bourbons but it didnt seem like they knew much about, didnt seem like their clientele's typical spirit of choice.... heavy on the ice when drinking on the rocks and not my ideal style of ice for such a drink but again, for an old school Irish bar vibe My expectations weren't very high ..... was a perfect way to kill time...

As far as I've found, Celtic Crossings is one of the most traditional Irish Pubs in Chicago. In its Near North location is hard to find a simple, non-pretentious bar, but Celtic Crossings offers that. It offers a no-frills, inexpensive, kind and courteous experience. The last time I was there was a mid-week evening catching up with an old friend. We had a few beers and Jameson shots. After paying the tab, the bartender offered us each another shot, on the house! That kind of customer service will keep me...
