I was in need of a good and satisfying meal after an intense hike Sunday morning. Kickin crab was the first thing that came to mind around noon so we decided to venture off into Chino Hills. Parking is free across the stop signs heading south from the plaza so the walk is fairly close to the restaurant. Upon entering, we were greeted and seated right away. The server was very attentive to our needs and took our order after I had cleaned my hands in the restroom. We ordered the kickin combo #1 that consisted of two pounds of shrimp, one pound of clams, corn, sausage, and potatoes. The usual kickin style spicy please! Two waters, salt, pepper, lime, and 10 minutes later we got our steaming bag of cajuness with the aroma of buttery and garlicky goodness I had been craving for all morning. After my main squeezes the lime into our cups, I decided to dip the clam with the lime, salt, pepper, and then back into the kickin sauce for some more spice. Sauce was on point as usual. Upon peeling the shrimp on the other hand was not so great. It had seemed to have been overcooked as some parts of the shell molded and melted to the shrimp itself. The texture reminded me of a nasty vegan shrimp I had tried a few months back that wasn't making the cut. I would say 90% of the shrimps were like this which surprised me because the restaurant had just opened 5 minutes after our arrival with very little people inside. Maybe the cook forgot? Other than that, everything else in the bag was fairly good. Service was excellent and the...
Read moreI want sooo badly to give them 5 stars, I really do. The kicken' style seasoning alone deserves 5 stars! However, my suggestions for improvement would be for them to get wet, warm towels after a meal and kids meals.
I've been here a ton of times...all at the Chino Hills location. The service has been great, the pound of snow crab is amazing and filling - get it with the kickin style seasoning! I've even had the fish and chips and the wings - everything I have tried I would highly recommend. The garlic noodles are 'the bomb' but very garlicky...lol. I like to mix mine with some of the kickin seasoning and pieces of crab.
The prices are fair on everything I've had with the exception of those garlic noodles. I think $10 is a bit steep for the portion and just noodles with garlic in general. I typically bring my granddaughter and wish they had a kids menu - I end up ordering the wings and fries for her which are priced separately so I end up paying like $14 just for a 'kids meal' which really sucks.
I love the fact that they have a washroom outside of the bathrooms for quick clean up - and trust me - you'll need it. Don't come in a nice shirt or long baggy sleeves - you'll regret it! The decor is really cute and I love the pirate at the front...I'll be back! (in my...

We celebrated Father’s Day with a seafood spread that seriously impressed. The Kickin Combo Deal #3 was more than generous for our party of three (my dad, my mom, and me) — featuring a whole Dungeness crab, a serving of mussels, and two hearty portions of head-on shrimp, all boiled to perfection and drenched in their signature Kickin Style sauce. The flavors were bold, buttery, and full of heat — everything you’d want in a Cajun seafood boil.
We kicked off the meal with their Cajun Edamame, which packed a nice spicy punch and doubled as a dipping sauce upgrade for the main course (pro tip: that extra lemon pepper sauce from the edamame - Pure gold). The fried calamari was crispy and tender — a solid starter that disappeared fast.
Service was fast and friendly, and even on a busy holiday, the staff made sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was lively and casual, perfect for cracking shells, sharing bites, and making a delicious mess. The Kickin Crab delivers big flavor, big portions, and an experience that’s as fun as it is satisfying. A must-visit for seafood lovers in the...
