cool staff, quick service, and absolutely delicious food. If you're a fan of the original location you'll like the fact that this place has other Taco options, different types of sandwiches, and a full liquor license. I don't drink, but it's great to have the option and availability downtown for good affordable food.I got myself a chicken torta and it was gigantic, it could have easily been two meals, but I was pretty hungry so I just made it a single one and had some delicious bread for later. My girlfriend got three tacos, a mixed variety and was happy with every single one of them. The al pastor beef barbacoa, and chorizo with potato were all fantastic. about the only thing that's disappointing when comparing it to the original is that they don't do any of the super great homemade tortilla chips and salsa in a bottomless serving, but they still have great chips and salsa available if you want to buy them by thepack. Lastly the space is really awesome and all the recycled materials make it look...
Read more. This tiny taqueria is a gem. The food is fresh and sublimely delicious! . I LOVE THIS PLACE ! . The Guacamole is great. . The Camarones Tacos (shrimp tacos) features 3 small soft tacos with tender, boiled shrimp, shredded cabbage, guac, and the most wonderful Tamarind sauce (sweet and fruity). . The Carnitas Tacos (pork tacos; 3 small soft tacos) has tender flavorful morsels of pork, with onion, guac, and a savory sauce- only slightly spicy. . I recommend the refreshing house-made limeade, called Agua de Limon. . This restaurant is a tiny, very narrow, storefront. Of the two exterior doors on Main Street, enter the left (In) door; when you leave, you use the other door. . The restaurant interior has colorful wall murals and just a few small tables in the back of the space. They do offer carry-out. . Parking on Main Street is limited, but there is one (pay) public lot just across Main Street, and another (pay) public parking lot about 1/2 block away at...
Read moreI personally have had tons of experience with authentic Mexican food but this restaurant definitely disappointed me in a big way. I hadn’t tried their food in years because last time I had a poor experience. I went back again and took a chance after 3 years and got some take out.
When I got home about 20 minutes later I was so disappointed by the quality of my food. The rice was soggy and overcooked almost the texture or oatmeal. The “beans” is basically water soup with no flavor at all. The tacos were all so small and the carnitas were the driest meat I have ever ate in a taco. Tasted like someone cooked pork in 5 minutes not slow cooked at all. It was unseasoned my lime tasted like it was a week old and the freshest thing on it was the cilantro.
Please do not waste your time I have eaten a here several times over the year and had the exact same experience. Will never eat...
