Street City Urban Gourmet — Restaurant in Cincinnati

We were going to the aronoff for a show and decided to celebrate my Moms birthday here. Very disappointed in our experience. We arrived at 4:30p as a group of 7 and told them we were seeing the show at 6:30p. We ordered the deal of getting a 3 coarse meal. They were out of one desert. We got our appetizer which was great. We were the only ones in the restaurant room besides a group of 2. We waited over an hour from the point of ordering our food for it to arrive. And this is after we began questioning. Meanwhile large groups who arrived after us were getting their meals. All the food arrived besides the two meals of the cod. When it arrived the homemade tarter sauce was missing. We were told it was coming. 15 min later we asked again and were told they were out.... I asked for a box and said at this point we were going to be late for the show we would just take the deserts boxed and we will leave. We then found out they were out of the deserts except for the cheesecake so they brought us 3 pieces to split between 7 people. They told us they would give us 20% off. I had reservations for a dinner for two. It was my husbands birthday and we were gonna have a dinner then go to the Chris Tucker show. Well upon arriving I waited at the door for a good 5-7 minutes before I was sat down. Than when he sat us down it was such a small table that there weren’t gonna be any room for our plates. Well I than sat there for another 10 minutes and still no one even bothered to come to the table and get drinks or anything. I will never return and will never give this place a recommendation. Thankfully we found a place where their service was excellent and the food was great. They had us in and out in time for the show. I don’t even know if we would have made it waiting at the street city urban. If you’re a female this place isn’t really for us. A work colleague and I have went for lunch twice in the past month. The first time we went, my chicken sandwich came out burnt and almost black and my colleague's fries were cold when they were served. We sent the food back to be remade, but it took too long to remake it and our hour lunch was almost over. We ended leaving with no food and still hungry. We went back today to give them a second chance, the fries still came out cold and the food was not good at all - bacon on the chicken sandwich was so hard, I couldn't chew it and I could tell that the chicken had sat for a while waiting to be served. One employee working the entire restaurant for lunch and it was just not what we expected giving a second chance. We couldn't complain again because the one employee was too busy, so we just paid and left. We will never go back. The food is horrible and their cooks don't understand...
