Gaucho Burger Company — Restaurant in City of White Plains

Went for the first time today on a whim and we had the Colombian beef empanadas, yuca fries, the lamb burger, and the churrasco steak sandwich. The food came fast and everything tasted fresh and was so, SO good. I saved half the steak sandwich just so I could have it again later on. The steak was well done, which I normally don’t like, but it was flavorful and juicy so I didn’t even care. The empanadas were delicious along with the sauce they came with, and the lamb burger was very good as well. The yuca fries were crispy. The girl behind the counter was super nice. Prices are decent. Went there with wife for lunch and we didn't make it past the cash register as they are WAY over-priced for simple fare. One Burger with Bacon and Mushrooms (They charge $2.00 for each add-on), French Fries (Charged separate, No Deluxe here.), One order of Onion Rings, and 2 Cokes came out to over $32.00 for everything. Told them that's way overpriced for what we ordered. We left and ordered the same thing at another place down the road. A Burger Deluxe with Bacon, Mushrooms, (came with Fries, Pickle and a side of Cole Slaw,) A Large plate of Onion Rings, and 2 Cokes, came up to $23.00 for everything. We decided to try Gaucho Burger Company in White Plains based on the 4.5 stars average review. We ordered the beef empanada, fried green plantains, Argentinian Burger with fries, and Fish sandwich. The fried plantains were good, but the empanada was stale and both the burger and fish sandwiches were pretty greasy and messy. For a burger, that’s not so unusual but we couldn’t even finish the fish sandwich because it was caked in thick oily batter. The worst part of it were the flies. We were under a constant barrage from flies attacking our food. They seem to multiply the longer we were there. Needless to say, that’s the last time we will be eating at Gaucho...
