I should have read the reviews before making a reservation. If you look at all the reviews 3-Stars and below you start to see a common theme, steak not cooked as ordered. As a steakhouse this is quite baffling. Maybe they should look into new thermometers for the kitchen staff. It shouldn’t be this hard for a steakhouse to cook steak as ordered. This isn’t a kitchen staff problem, it’s the management. Wait staff, kitchen staff and managers all fell short of hitting the mark. We went out for a family Christmas dinner (party of 9) and things started going wrong when one of the managers assisted with running the food, but gave the plates to the wrong people. Not knowing who’s was what he took his “best guess”. Medium? Well-Done? Who knew. Most legitimate steakhouses have a way to flag the temperature on the meat. The person next to me asked for a filet medium and was given one well-done. For a steakhouse how do you not cook steak as ordered? For me, I ordered the 12oz filet and was given two other dishes before they alerted me that they accidentally butterflied my filet. I asked the waitress if they could stick to my original order . I ordered the 12 oz, it something you would want filleted. Then we had to wait 30 minutes for new plates- my filet as ordered and the other steak that was too well done which we sent back. 30 minutes, by this time all other people in our party were finished eating and all sides were cold. I also failed to mention that they forgot a side of asparagus . After alerting the wait staff when the food came out and we noticed it was missing, it took 30 minutes for asparagus... yes 30 minutes for asparagus. After the 25 minute mark I told them to keep the steak it wasn’t worth bringing out since everyone else was done with their meal by at least 10 minutes. The person next to me received their steak, but instead of being medium as ordered it was rare. Took a picture which is below. 30 minutes and they couldn’t get it right. It was an overall sour experience. I hate to make a stink on a Holiday which everyone working would rather be home with their families but looking at the reviews it’s par for the course here. Fair warning- do not go to this location. For any Morton’s representative reading this please take a serious look through all the reviews, there is a common theme.

first off, the ONLY reason i rated this place 2 stars is the steak, the part that was cooked right and seasoned was delicious THE 2ND WAS BRIANNA She was absolutely amazing. Curteous and welcoming on the phone. And when we arrived she was really nice and welcoming. She us a true asset to this restaurant. to put this review mildly. The service really is lacking. I sat down with my wife at 930. For 10 minutes all we had was water. Then the waiter returned and i order raw oysters. THEY ARE RAW. no cooking needed. Took 20 more minutes to bring 6 oysters. Then we placed our steak order. i asked for mid rare, my wife medium. The front of my steak was seasoned, see pic on ribeye the bottom by the bone was bland. Plus the top by the xap was a perfect mid rare, the part by the bone was still mooing. My wifes steak, porterhouse was same way part was medium the rest well done. plus our steaks didn't arrive until 1025. THATS 55 MINUTES AFTER WE SAT Down. oh and the bread arrived with the steak Even applebees is better than this. I spent 250 dollars and to be honest it was a waste. i tipped against the advice of my wife 20 dollars. He took it and left. NOT A WORD WAS SPOKEN. how rude. side note, while we were eating the table next to us and across from us all were complaining. We chimed in and they had the same issues. Slow service orders cooked wrong. i will not be back.

This place has a good presentation. It's very elegant and well kept. The facility has a very nice wine display. The bar is separate from the dining area. At the bar you will find numerous TV screens displaying current sports. The dining tables are adequately spaced and of the right size. They follow proper table etiquette. The service can be a bit expediting. They try to get you to order in what feels rushed. They continue this throughout your time there. From appetizers, to dinner, to dessert, to the check, to the receipt of the payment. After which, you are left to stay as long as you please. The food is very nicely presented, of good taste, and very detailed. The steak temperatures can be a bit off. The medium being more on the rare side. They have special desserts that require about a half hour for preparation. This in turn prompts an interruption from the waiter mid dinner regarding a dessert you do not know about, from a menu you have not yet seen. The place has a good atmosphere, but although the service was not bad, I did not feel entirely welcomed or appreciated. Given the price, you would expect a warmer level of hospitality, which I did not perceive. I will return. Curious to compare the next experience.

the new location is in downtown white plains - near corner of mamaroneck ave and main street. valet parking for $10 or park in the city center garage for $1/hr and take a five minute walk to restaurant outside or if you prefer, inside via hallway near supermarket in city center. we prefer the outside walk.

the space was gutted and redesigned to the standard of the newer morton's restaurants. more modern, subtle lighting, more comfortable chairs and booths, and a nice view thru the huge windows onto the street and the plaza which has nice color lighting at night.

the bar is large and abuts the windows and has a large screen tv and plenty of seating as well.

i would describe the new decor as more upscale. in the old location in the mall - some diners would enter wearing less than appropriate attire for an upscale restaurant - jean shorts, t-shirts, flip flops. took away from the ambiance and experience. for some reason, at least for out sat night visit - the diners were more properly dressed. makes a big difference. who wants to spend $100 a person and sit next to some guy wearing a sleeveless basketball shirt, shorts and flipflops. hopefully our experience will be the norm.

fortunately sean is still the manager. he is the quintessential manager and professional. polished, calm, attentive, welcoming, MBWA (management by walking around) - when in a pinch, he will be filling water glasses, clearing tables and serving food. a great role model. we were so pleased to hear that he would be moving with the restaurant. tony, as well, is still there. very much in the same mold as sean. our server was anthony, very attentive, knowledgeable, professional and accommodating. a good representative of the brand. the greeting/welcoming staff remains superb - a smile, courteous, welcoming us and wishing us a happy anniversary (49th) and birthday for my wife (i has include this info with my reservation as well as a request for a booth - which we got.)

we had the summer dinner special - $40 - for specifically selected apps, mains and desserts. fortunately for us the selection was great and the smaller portions worked out well. we had the caesar salad, morton's salad, filet (prepared perfectly and succulent,) and key lime pie - we shared one piece and took one home. as a member of their dining club, we received complimentary after dinner drinks. a nice touch.

overall, this is a wonderful addition to downtown wp. fine dining, superb atmosphere, great food and staff. it's all there. we wish them the best in their new and improved location. we will be back soon.

I reserved a private room (17 guests) for a 60th birthday celebration for my sister that turned out disastrous. Upon arrival, I discovered the air conditioning was not working and it was an 81-degree day. I was not given the courtesy of being notified in advance of the mechanical difficulties and the option to plan elsewhere or instruct people to dress differently. When I ordered my sister’s signature drink, I was informed they were out of Tito’s vodka. I tried to order orange juice for the children, they were out of orange juice too. When it came to the dinner, the salad and butter were delivered to the table, but no bread. I had to ask for the bread and when the bread arrived, everyone was finished with their salad. I then had to ask the wait staff to clear the table of dirty plates and utensils and bring clean cutlery. The main course did not come out at the same time for the entire party, but 4 different deliveries 10-15 minutes apart such that the party did not eat together. The last person got their food when the entire 2 tables were completely done. There was a set menu selected with a specific salmon and the salmon delivered to the guests was the wrong preparation. The steaks preparations requested were medium but came out well-done and had to be sent back. Imagine a steak restaurant that cannot cook steak correctly?? The steaks had no flavor (no salt/marinade), and it was as though raw meat was just thrown on the grill with no prep, it was inedible, and we had to leave it on the plate and let them throw in the garbage. We were told we would have dedicated waitstaff and multiple times we had to go searching for them. I have eaten at restaurants around the world, and this was the absolute worst experience in terms of food quality and service. The financial adjustment made by the general manager was inadequate and does not come close to compensating me for a ruined evening. Moreover, I am left having to take the family out again today, to make up for the awful experience last night, and even that will not make up for the celebration being ruined as I cannot turn back time and redo her...
