By Golly's Clarksville — Restaurant in Clarksville

Very disappointing first visit. Everything started off well but ended with disappointment. My daughter drove 30 minutes to meet me for lunch. I ordered 3 fried chicken tenders with a side and she ordered 5 grilled chicken tenders with a side. When our food came out everything was fried. She told our waitress she ordered grilled and the waitress apologized and went to have the order fixed. Everything was going well until she came back and said they aren't serving grilled chicken today and explained how the chicken was seasoned, marinated, and lightly fried the night before and they fry the chicken again that day and they didn't leave any of the chicken grilled. What!? Why didn't the manager tell them they weren't serving grilled chicken before opening today or the cook tell her before making her order fried? Makes absolutely no sense. So here I am with all my food and she only had her cole slaw to eat. At that point I didn't want to eat, so I got my food to go and left. Very poor communication! The food was good but not worth the $37 after the tip...

Please don’t waste your money by going to By Golly’s in clarksville, Indiana. Are you kidding me $11 for a garden salad? It was a joke. Another $11 for a mushroom Swiss burger that was the size of a child’s burger. No side comes with the burger. That all cost extra. So my wife and I spent $25 and the tip we gave our waitress five dollars I didn’t blame her. But will never go back. We went in there to have fish. The waitress tells us that they ran out of fish yesterday. That is very poor management. This place is no different than the Barr food that Hooters had when they were open there. So folks what I’m saying is don’t go there thinking you’re gonna have a great meal. no manager came out to see if we were happy. We ordered Cheeseburger Potato Skins, Onion Rings and Fried Pickles to-go, everything was hot and fresh!! Loved the potato skins, never had cheeseburger ones before and the By Golly's sauce was super delicious!! Everything we ordered was perfect even when we got home the breading on the onion rings and pickles were still crispy and not soggy like other places!!
