Barefoot Beach House — Restaurant in Clearwater

On a trip to Clearwater while with 36 teenage foreign exchange students and 4 chaperones, we wanted to treat the kids to ice cream. I went to the counter ahead of time because as the owner of a small business owner, I thought it would be overwhelming to have that many people come in at once. Their staff assured me they we would be alright even though we were coming very soon. When our 40+ person group walked in, the staff was great! Our group was in and out of there is no time flat. The fact that the kids spoke little English didn't faze them at all. Michael and his team were great. The 24 varieties of ice cream and sorbets were great. No one cared that there was no soft serve. With amazing ice cream, who needed that. The kids loved it. It is not cheap ice cream as another person reviewing suggested. There were absolutely no complaints; and this is from people who have high ice cream standards. We will definitely bring our next group of students in. Outstanding Service and Delicious Ice Cream!

We visited this ice cream shop twice during our stay, and I can’t say enough about the exceptional care the staff took to accommodate my grandson’s tree nut allergy. Both times, different staff members followed the same thorough protocol to prevent any cross-contamination—clearly, this is something they take very seriously. I was incredibly impressed and deeply appreciative of their diligence.

Not only did I feel completely confident in their allergy precautions, but both of my grandsons absolutely loved their ice cream! The flavors were delicious, and the service was kind, patient, and thoughtful.

It’s not easy finding places that handle food allergies with this level of care, and this shop truly went above and beyond. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone—especially families managing food allergies. We will definitely be back the next time...

Wonderful service and fabulous ice cream! We came in with a group of kids for ice cream and my 9 year old daughter has a peanut allergy so we are always worried about cross contamination. The staff was so awesome and understanding! They took out a brand new gallon of vanilla ice cream just for her and used a clean scooper. It eased her tension and made her feel special. I can’t tell you how much that meant to her and us, it’s hard for these kids with food allergies that just want to be “normal” and eat ice cream with the rest of the kids and you all made it very special for her. The night before we went to a different ice cream shop across the street and they weren’t as accommodating, we will definitely be coming back to Barefoot Beach House for ice cream the next time we are in Clearwater and highly...
