Opal Sol Resort — Hotel in Clearwater

I just got home today from spending the most amazing 10 days at Opal Sol hotel Clearwater Beach FL! My very first time visiting this place and let me tell you from the minute we arrived until the minute we left (middle of the night 3:00am) we were treated like royalty and when I say this I absolutely mean it! Every single employee that we encountered went out of their way to make our stay the most memorable ever! From arriving and getting our luggage on the cart,the smoothest check in (our room was ready 3 hours before check in time 4:00pm) house keeping ladies,pool personnel,restaurant people,bar personnel,coffee shop workers and everyone else who crossed paths with us was absolutely outstanding! The hotel itself is something amazing! Each floor they have pantry and mornings starts with baskets full of fresh fruit (bananas,apples and oranges) granola bars, nut free bars and also there’s is a freezer drawers full with ice packs for your drinks or coolers and water refills stations! In the afternoon breakfast baskets are changed with homemade cookies all individually packed plus different kinds of snacks! Throughout the hotel property especially around pool area there’s a big jugs of different fresh fruit in the ice water and every day different (lemon,lime,cucumber,pineapple,blueberry,strawberry,blackberry,leaf mint and much more,very refreshing and constantly fresh! Towels plenty for the lounge chairs and pool personal always helping with anything you need! They always bit me out of opening the door for me, I absolutely have no words to describe how amazing they are! We had a standard 2 bed room but actually when I walked in it really look like mini suite with sectional sofa,a table in the form of leaf,another table and 2 very comfortable chairs,and the mini kitchen with refrigerator and freezer,dishwasher,microwave,toaster,sink,plates,glasses and silverware very nice quality,supply of paper towels,dishwasher tablet,dishwasher liquid and scrubb mommy sponge(the little things) like they thought of every single little detail that means a lot! The bathroom itself is another great story! Very very spacious! The shower has both head shower and moveable head shower with a cord! Toiletries are of great quality and they will supply shampoo,conditioner,body wash,body lotion,soaps,scope and shower cap! House keeping does 2 rounds! In the morning they clean everything and make beds and supplies toiletries,coffee supplies,clean towels and the afternoon crew comes again to pick up garbage if you have and picking up towels and restocking again and they will ask anything else you need! They literally have everything on their cart! Amazing service and I hope they will keep this all the time! Every room at Opal Sol have a private balcony with very comfortable 2 chairs and table and also every room has an ocean view! The most important thing to mention is that the walls are soundproof! We had people on both sides and it seemed like we were only ones on the floor! You can’t hear anything from people around you or upstairs or downstairs absolutely not a little sound at all! Very nice and peaceful! I can go on and on and on and I am trying to cover all areas so people will know what to expect and if anybody has any questions please feel free to ask but trust me you won’t be disappointed at all! From the moment I arrived, my experience at this hotel was nothing short of outstanding. Every aspect of my stay reflected true excellence, making it a trip I’ll always remember.

✨ Service The staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. Every interaction was warm, professional, and genuine. From the front desk’s efficient check-in to the concierge’s helpful local tips, I felt truly cared for. Housekeeping was impeccable, and every request—no matter how small—was met with a smile and prompt attention. Big shout out to Zachary who really gave us an exceptional service who made sure that we get our dream room for our stay at Opal sol!! We came later Saturday night to found out that we cannot get a higher level room as the hotel was almost fully booked, but he worked it out the next morning to get us a better room on a higher floor and we were very pleased with our room and stay. Thanks Zachery!! Room: My room was a perfect blend of comfort and luxury. Spacious, spotless, and beautifully decorated, it offered a relaxing retreat after a day of exploring. The bed was incredibly comfortable with crisp, fresh linens. The amenities—plush robes, quality toiletries, and a well-stocked minibar—added a touch of indulgence. And the balcony view was breathtaking.

Food: Every meal exceeded expectations. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of fresh, delicious options, catering to every taste. Lunch and dinner menus were equally impressive, with dishes that were not only beautifully presented but bursting with flavor. The chefs clearly take pride in their craft, and it showed in every bite.

Pool: The pool area was a true oasis—spotlessly clean, beautifully designed, and surrounded by comfortable loungers. Whether I wanted to swim laps or just relax in the sun with a refreshing drink, it was the perfect place to unwind. The poolside service was attentive without being intrusive.

Cafe The on-site café was a charming spot to start my day or take a mid-afternoon break. The coffee was rich and perfectly brewed, and the selection of pastries and light bites was delightful. The cozy atmosphere made it a great place to relax and people-watch.

Restrooms: well-maintained restrooms,always spotless, stocked, and easy to access.

Water,ice and snacks corner on each floor: Right next to each elevator on every floor you will find the water and ice stations with snacks and fresh fruits, perfect for staying refreshed without having to call room service. The convenience of these stations truly elevated the guest experience.

Beach View: The beach view from the hotel was simply mesmerizing. Whether from my balcony, the restaurant terrace, or the pool area, the panoramic ocean scenery was picture-perfect. Sunrises and sunsets over the water created moments I’ll never forget.

This hotel delivered excellence in every aspect. It’s rare to find a place where service, comfort, dining, and atmosphere come together so seamlessly. I left feeling completely refreshed, pampered, and already planning my next visit. Review of Opal Sol, Clearwater Beach - 10/10

We stayed at Opal Sol for four days to celebrate our three-year anniversary, and it was absolutely perfect! Every single part of our experience was a 10 out of 10.

We arrived before check in and the staff held out bags, we changed and enjoyed all the amenities right off the bar. A great start.

Our hotel room was incredibly spacious, spotlessly clean, and had a great-sized shower and balcony. The view of the beach and sunsets from our room was absolutely spectacular. The bed was, hands down, the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, and the pillows were amazing too — I would love it if someone could tell me the brand so I can buy the mattress for home! The furniture was really nice, the TV was huge, and the room itself was just awesome.

All the amenities were excellent. The little Starbucks-style coffee shop was quick and convenient — the smoothies were delicious, and the breakfast sandwich was really good quality. We also ate at Toast, the onsite restaurant, and it was fantastic. The portions were generous, the food was great, and we had no complaints at all about the prices.

The three pools were crystal clear, with plenty of good-quality furniture around them. The pool areas and grounds were clean, beautiful, and very well-kept. We loved that the hotel was just a short distance from the beach — clean water, gorgeous sand, and to top it off, we even saw dolphins and manatees swimming less than 10 feet away!

There were plenty of great restaurants nearby too — Taco Bus was our favorite — and lots of shopping. I felt very safe both at the hotel and around the area. There was always a visible presence of law enforcement, which we appreciated. We even walked at night and felt completely comfortable.

The bars onsite served great drinks — everything was tasty, and the beer was ice-cold. No complaints at all there!

The staff really made the trip unforgettable. Every single employee was super nice, accommodating, and professional. Not one single bad attitude the entire time. I especially want to commend Michele, who took amazing care of us at the pool — always smiling, quick to check on us, and super prompt with service. A huge shout out also to Cam — he went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, gave great recommendations, and was always upbeat and friendly. Cam truly is the poster boy for excellent customer service. I really hope management sees this and recognizes both Michele and Cam — they were fantastic.

We even asked for a little extra time at checkout, and the staff was more than accommodating.

Honestly, I could keep raving, but to sum it up: the staff was amazing, the room was beautiful and comfortable, the drinks were great, and we felt safe and relaxed the entire time. I can’t even complain about the price — it was more than fair for what we got. In a perfect world, maybe the resort fee could include a discount on the beach chairs and umbrellas, but even that small extra charge didn’t put a damper on our stay.
