I recently had the pleasure of staying at Ivory Sands Beach Suites in Clearwater Beach with my 8-year-old daughter, and I must say, it exceeded all expectations. As a traveler who appreciates the comforts of home, I've stayed in my fair share of luxury hotels, but none have quite matched the charm and comfort of Ivory Sands.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. Lisa, who checked us in, was an absolute gem. Her friendly demeanor set the tone for our entire stay. And to top it off, she surprised me with a thoughtful gesture of wine at checkout.
The hotel, newly renovated and beautifully designed, exuded a sense of tranquility that was a welcome respite after a week of traveling. Despite not being beachfront like the Hyatt Regency, where I've stayed before, I found myself enjoying Ivory Sands even more. The other qualities of the hotel, such as its tranquility, attention to detail, and personalized service, make it even more desirable. Plus, the short walk to the beach was a pleasant experience, and it didn't detract from our enjoyment of our stay.
Our standard king room was a haven of modern elegance. The bathroom was a delight, with multiple shower heads and a detachable shower head that allowed me to style my hair just like I do at home. The makeup mirror was a welcome touch, making it easy to apply makeup comfortably. It felt like a home away from home.
The in-room dehumidifier was a thoughtful touch, ensuring a comfortable environment even in the Florida humidity. One of the highlights for me was the ability to fully open the windows and bask in the refreshing Florida air. It's the little details like this that set Ivory Sands apart from other hotels.
The amenities were equally impressive. The small heated pool was perfect for a relaxing dip, and the remote-controlled fan and AC unit ensured that we were always comfortable.
Parking was safe and convenient, adding to the overall peace of mind during our stay. And despite being located in a prime area of Clearwater Beach, Ivory Sands felt like our own private oasis.
Overall, my experience at Ivory Sands Beach Suites was nothing short of exceptional. It's rare to find a hotel that combines luxury with the intimate charm of a boutique establishment, but Ivory Sands does just that. It was the perfect place to end our long trip, and I can confidently say that it's my favorite hotel I've ever stayed at. I can't...

Anyone can have a nice hotel but it's the quality of staff and their customer that will make guests come back.
Tips for guests
(i) Some cabanas were "reserved". But there was always two unreserved. Unsure how this works but as we and only 1 other set of guests used them it wasn't a problem. If I was staying again I would enquire.
(ii) You can cut through the Pelican Point hotel to get to the beach quicker.
(iii) Maggie Maes for breakfast was very good. Walking there is 30 minutes and fine but walking back seemed a slog. You can drive or trolley it.
(iv) As you walk up Clearwater beach heading north us gets more roomy and quieter beyond the pier. Although the south side was busy was never too busy when there.
(v) Sand Key beach is a lot quieter, recommend driving, but for me preferred Clearwater sand even though it was busier.
(vi) Clear Sky restaurant good better than most
(vii) Avoid the...
Read moreWe totally enjoyed our vacation at this Property. The total renovation was top notch and we see their vision. The property is located a block away from the beach, restaurants and ice cream shop, approx 5 mins walk to Pier 60 and excursions attractions. Very conveniently located.
The accommodations are very spacious with a king size sleep number bed, living room, setty area where you can dine and refrigerate items, but it’s not a kitchenette. Two-person Jacuzzi with speakers and bluetooth functions for music and flat screen TV that was really a great touch. In the bathroom, it was very very very spacious. We love the rain shower. Our accommodations came with a cabana at their heated pool and parking. The pool area was very inviting with tables, high tables and plush seating. Not the material that will fry your skin off. The cabana was so comfortable with curtains, a seating area and side table.
As for the staff: Upon our initial arrival to scope out their other property Devon Shores we met Mariah. We liked the property and would’ve stayed but in our conversation we learned about Ivory Shores which was a couple of blocks over. There we met Pam she was the most absolutely sweetest person, and her customer service was impeccable. Shortly after we met Ashley whose energy and hospitality was professional. On our departure, Stephanie was very courteous and informative and helpful. These ladies represented the brand very well.
We highly recommend you to stay here and we will definitely...
