If you don’t see Asian diners in an Asian restaurant, then it is definitely not a good Asian restaurant. We should have known because this place is one of those. We have ordered hibachi take-out from this restaurant and our bill is usually $200+. It was probably the owner who catered to us that is why we did not have issues ordering take-out.
We had lunch in this restaurant today for the first time. The owner was nowhere in sight. We ordered a $20 stir fried fillet mignon. We asked the server that instead of rice we’ll have broccoli on the side. She did not want to give us the broccoli because she said the fillet mignon already has broccoli. We told her we do not want the rice & upcharge is absolutely not an issue. We are willing and able to pay extra. She just insisted, so we gave up.
Take note that this restaurant is very small, that one can hear or see somebody easily. The size is comparable to a masters bathroom of a single family home. When we waved at our server and called her to request for a fork multiple times, she ignored us. When it was difficult for her to avoid us, that’s the only time she came to us. I think this server underestimated us. We are a big tipper, 50% if the service and food are good, & 100% if our check is $40 or less. Too bad she did not get that much from us but she deserves what she got.
When the $20 fillet mignon came, it was obviously not a fillet mignon. It was a different cut. The taste was just sweet. It seemed that there was no other ingredient but sugar, broccoli & onion. No Asian restaurant will serve something as bad as that & no Asian will eat such a dish. I am not sure why that was included in the menu & why this restaurant will serve something like that and put “fillet mignon” when it is not what they actually serve.
We are not going back to...
Read moreSUSPECTED RACISM HERE. This was the night of 8/2/2024. The guy that served us had a face mask and when I talked to the manager about he started defending the guys behavior and saying he was sick or something. The service was bad and I felt like the guy was rushing us to make our orders and brought us our check in a way where he was pushing out of the restaurant. At first I thought that the guy was a racist or something since I was Black and my date was White. This was our first date so you can imagine how awkward and uncomfortable the situation was. Bottom line is that if the guy is sick why is he working around food or even at work in general? It's not only a health hazard but you won't give the best service if you're feeling bad. Another waitress was just grilling me and looking at me funny so it was just an all around uncomfortable experience. Buddy should've just stayed home if he was feeling that bad.The manager even told me I wasn't the only one that complained so this was a real problem and not just in my head I understand people get sick and things happen but I've been sick before and never treated anyone like trash. I'm the last person that would be cold hearted and non compassionate towards someone if they're sick but I have a gut feeling that thats the guys normal attitude towards people whether he's sick or not. Ive been around people long enough to just know these things. Either way we won't be going back here since first impressions are everything. I'll be getting...

Took mom to my favorite sushi place in town Fancy Sushi and the food was SUPERB as usual!!! Omg! They truly have exceptional food quality and selection!
However, last night was the worst service experience. The restaurant closes at 10:00 PM. I have been in the industry for over 21 years and to me, this has always meant the door closes at 10, your last customer can be seated at 9:45 for example. We arrived at 8:15PM and there were 4 tables seated. I noticed they had already started doing some of their closing duties. We sat down and ordered appertizers, soup, two glasses of wine and two rolls. Service was short, rude and rushed. Dinner came out quickly and shortly after the staff was sweeping and mopping under our table at 9pm!!!!! This was so unbelievably rude it was literally asking us to leave to the point that we asked - do you need us to leave??? What a horrible experience!! First time for mom and she was blown away by the food but, seriously? Sweeping under our table and mopping literally our feet was completely wrong!
Ugh! Such a disappointment last night. We will always go back - but I hope they can fix this. Some guest near us heard us asking this and on their way out as they were walking on a soaked floor they stopped by out table saying we were completely right by questioning this.
Still love their food so much, but I guess we will stick to going three hours before closing...
