First I want to say this should have been a 5 star review, however, we very much got the feeling from some staff that we were not welcome because we arrived just under an hour prior to closing. To begin with the positives, Matthew was one of the most amazing servers we’ve ever had. He interacted with my son so well who is such a talker and normally annoys people with his 20 questions but not Matthew! He was extremely excitable, engaged, and pleasant. Matthew got everything perfect with our order plus had a phenomenal memory as we had a large party giving requests for things all throughout the experience left and right but he was all over it and never missed a beat. Being someone who came from many years of the food and beverage industry including management role, overall Matt was incredible. Our food was also fantastic! None of us were displeased in anyway with our meal. If anything several said it was the best steak we have had in a long time. Now to the displeasing part. When we arrived there was a greeter at a tent outside stopping guests inquiring about their party etc. Initially we were very pleased seeing they are being safe #covid. She inquired if we were dinning in or taking out? We said dinning in where she then proceeded to tell us they were on a wait and couldn’t guarantee we would even be sat before they stop taking guests. Mind you at this point she has no idea the size of our party as we were in separate vehicles and at this point there were only 3 of us visual to her but ok. We asked how long the wait was and she said “20 minutes minimum could be longer again can’t guarantee anything because we close in a less than an hour” (50 minutes). We thought huh ok well I know we all were very excited to be here so let’s do it, wait and see what happens. She again asked if we were sure as they can’t ensure we will be helped etc. where we again said yes. She took our number where immediately I got a text confirmation from their system stating the wait time was 0-10 minutes, odd but ok, move on. We didn’t even wait ten minutes so not sure the reason for her to try to talk us out of even trying but ok Move on. Towards the end of our meal lights are being shut out, everything wrapping up, we feel guilty and are trying to hurry get boxes and try to get out of the way. My son is just loving him some Matthew and at one point Matthews holding various plates and talking to my son about school stuff band etc when a server comes up to take all the plates from him. Initially seemed like some awesome team work but we quickly realized she was trying to get every plate so they can wash them up and leave the rest of the team still there were waiting. Ok, move forward, Matthew and my son again chatting about college plans when I see who I believe was the manager on duty or shift lead eyeballing us for a solid five minutes looking at her watch rolling her eyes huffing and puffing pacing in frustration. Finally I had enough loudly interrupted Matthew and my son thanked him for his amazing service but it is more then apparent by his team members we are no longer welcome and we will be leaving now. It is sad that such an awesome experience was ruined by team members who could only care about getting out of there on a Friday night. I get it if we were those jerks that showed up 15 minutes before closing but no we were there almost an hour prior to...
Read moreI was a server and bartender at one of the largest resorts in the world for over 10 years. I say that for you to know that it takes quite a bit for me to complain because I’ve seen some real characters as guests and I’ve also been on the other side having to wait on said guests. First off, we’re a party of 11, and my husband and I got there first with our 2 young kids. The people meeting us were right behind us. We try and grab a table but they didn’t want to seat us until everyone was there. Sure, no problem. Oh, and wait outside with your kids too. Okay, whatever. I see our family pull in the parking lot and go inside to let them know everyone is here. They tell me they’d go ahead and seat us once they could see us all inside the building. Umm, alright… cue 30 seconds later, I say, hey we’re officially all in the building now. We’re walking over being seated and the hostess brings us to 2 back to back booths, so we wouldn’t sit together at all. I’m looking kind of puzzled so then she says “well you could have this or you could have this one booth and then this table right beside it”, but that we couldn’t push the table next to the booth. We ended up going with that option so that we could at least see each other. Mind you I have been to quite a few Texas Roadhouse restaurants with large parties and we’ve always sat together. Then I watch 2 servers and a host arguing about who was going to take care of us and looking over and giving dirty looks. (I’ve been a server, I know no one wants to wait on a large party with 5 children), but thats part of the job, so suck it up and do it. I’m also a large tipper because I like to surprise servers with a big tip when maybe they’re not expecting it, because I remember that being one of the best feelings when I was in their position. Then 2 servers walk up to us and let us know that basically one will take care of one table and the other one would take care of our table. Sure no problem. But then they explain we will only have one check for one table and one check for another. No can do bud, because of how you seated us we have our parties completely split up, and not only that, but we were not doing one check per table either. We ended up paying one check for our meal and then our daughter was sitting at the other table so we had to pay her check separately. Ridiculous. Literally, nothing but rules from the SECOND we walked in. Not guest oriented in the SLIGHTEST. My husband’s beer was empty for a while before he had to ask Carlos for another one. I ordered my steak medium rare and it came medium well, but I was hungry and pregnant so I ate it without complaining bc I didn’t feel like waiting another 30 mins bc at this point I just wanted out of there. Our whole group usually loves Texas Roadhouse but none of us will be back (I know you’re saying thank God, but you won’t when you go out of business.) go to Longhorn instead, steaks are cooked right every time and the service is better and faster. Best thing about it was the rolls, and now I know exactly how to make them with the cinnamon butter and all, so peace out Texas Roadhouse, you won’t...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Texas Roadhouse, and once again, it did not disappoint. The restaurant's commitment to consistently delivering mouthwatering food and providing exceptional service has made it one of my family’s favorite places to indulge in a hearty meal. This particular visit left a lasting impression, thanks in large part to our server, Natalia.
Let's start with the food. Texas Roadhouse is renowned for its delectable selection of steaks, and they truly live up to their reputation. We ordered the 20-ounce ribeye, cooked to a perfect medium-rare, and it was absolutely sublime. The steak was beautifully seasoned, juicy, and tender, with a mouthwatering charred exterior. Each bite was a savory delight, and it's comforting to know that the quality of their steaks remains consistently excellent.
Aside from their steaks, Texas Roadhouse also offers an array of appetizing sides and homemade dressings. I paired my ribeye with their famous loaded baked potato and seasoned rice. The combination of these sides elevated the overall dining experience and further emphasized the restaurant's commitment to delivering a complete, satisfying meal.
Now, let's talk about our server, Natalia. From the moment we were seated, Natalia made us feel welcome and attended to our every need. She was attentive, personable, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. What truly stood out was Natalia's observant nature. She seemed to anticipate our needs before we even realized them ourselves. Whether it was refilling our drinks or promptly bringing extra napkins, she ensured that our dining experience was seamless and enjoyable.
Moreover, Natalia's recommendations were spot-on. She effortlessly guided us through the menu, suggesting mouthwatering options and explaining the different cuts of steak available. Her passion for the food and her genuine enthusiasm for ensuring our satisfaction were palpable, making us feel like valued guests throughout the evening.
In conclusion, Texas Roadhouse continues to be a consistent winner in terms of both food quality and service. The flavor-packed steaks, delectable sides, and warm, inviting atmosphere make it a go-to destination for a memorable dining experience. Our server, Natalia, elevated the evening even further with her exceptional attentiveness and knowledge. I highly recommend Texas Roadhouse to anyone looking for a fantastic meal coupled with...
