I'm not getting the reviews of the best Mexican in Central FL or anywhere else for that matter. Maybe it's because there is hardly a handful of Mexican restaurants to choose from in this immediate area. Or, maybe dinner is a different experience rather than lunch. For our group (4), it was terrible. It's nowhere close to either Tex-Mex or authentic Mexican. It lacked so much in flavor, never mind basic salt content. The refried beans & fajitas are the worst I have ever had - not to mention that they actually charged me for the tortillas! That's a first. And as far as the tortillas go, they are the worst I have ever had. They seemed to be grilled (not normal), which actually makes them hard to eat with (for rolling fajita fillings). They also were the size of burrito tortillas. I got the feeling they grilled them because they were getting old. For first experiences, I judge a Mexican restaurant on their salsa & fajitas. These are basic items for a Mexican restaurant. Salsa was actually good, but it isn't worth returning for when everything else was no bueno! Lastly, the service was sub-par. The waiter was nice, but he had no idea how to wait tables. We had to ask for napkins, more chips (to finish the cheese dip), refills, and my tortillas for the fajitas. Literally flagging him down each time. Summary:...
Read moreIn Cocoa Beach for the week on vacation. We decided to order takeout instead of going out to eat. I was craving authentic Mexican and saw that this place had 4.6 stars on google. First off, when I got there the food wasnât even ready. The host said it would be a few more minutes and it ended up taking 20 mins. I understand that the kitchen is busy but it was clear they didnât even start the order until I arrived.
Finally, after receiving the food and bringing it home, I realized they did not include my tortillas for my fajitas or my sour cream. Keep in mind I paid $3 of a side of sour cream. Also, how do they expect me to eat fajitas without the tortillas? Food was very mediocre. The rice was dry and the beans were watery. Fajitas were ok, but definitely would have been better with the side of sour cream and the tortillas.
I normally do not leave sub-par reviews, but between waiting 20mins to pickup a TAKEOUT order and the fact that the restaurant forgot things that I paid for, Iâm annoyed. If I wanted to wait in the restaurant I would have dined in.
They gave me queso and chips for the delay in my order but honestly it was salty and just ok.
The staff seemed nice enough and I understand being busy as I work in food service myself. However, this was not a good experience so itâs hard to leave a...
Read moreDon't go here! They lie about what goes in their drinks. Spoke Spanish in front of me saying they don't have tje ingredients that go in the drink but still served it toe anyway And when I asked they asked me :yoi don't taste it?" So I asked for a shot. Then they could not provide the liquor. And the repository on the menu is not reposado...it is jose Cuervo gold. Food is good. But honest about ingredients is important. This use to be my favorite place Food is good. But they will even speak Spanish in front of you thinking you don't know what they are saying. And I actually do. Not a good look for the Spanish community to speak this way thinking a non Spanish person won't know what they are saying. Btw I am Spanish. And I defend our community on this all the time. I send many people here. I will not anymore. And I won't be cing back anymore. Thank you for not treating everyone w respect equally. Cause our culture has fought hard...
