used the pizza hut app to order from this restaurant. good thing i looked in the box before the driver left, this was not my pizza.
i had never ordered from pizza hut, but i was reading about the great vegan options they have. so i thought i would give it a try. i sent the pepperoni and cheese pizza back with the driver.
i called the manager, explained i was a first time customer and now my dinner would be delayed even longer and i asked for my order to be replaced and since it would take another hour for me to get my food, i asked that it be comped. the manager said she could not do that. she could discount the pizza but she was not allowed to make it free. i told her i hoped to order from them again, but with the delay in getting my food, i felt it was reasonable to ask not to be charged. she refused. i told her i hoped to order more in the future and not charging me would go a long way to make up for a big mistake the first time i have ordered. she still refused. said she could not do it. she was not allowed. she said she would void my charge and then she hung up.
i am surprised a manager would hang up on a guest. a guest with the wrong order sent. i wonder if the person was even a manager. one would think the manager of a restaurant could comp an order gone wrong. perhaps this is the rule of pizza hut, then i think they may have a bigger problem not empowering their manager's to handle guest situations.
i will be deleting pizza hut from my phone.
update: i sent this to pizza hut the same night and had a response the next day. they gave me a credit. i ordered the next night. i got a vegan pizza, hand tossed crust with the pretzel seasoning on the crust. no cheese, just veggies. they really loaded the pie with the veggies. great pizza and great response to...

In the past 6-8 months, every single time we order from there, we either have to take the order back to store or call to voice the complaint over their preparation of our pizza. We normally order at night, and ALWAYS ALWAYS order extra sauce on our pizza. And every time in the last 6-8months, we get the order and there is little to no sauce on the pizza. When speaking to the night manager, either by phone (rare since they donât answer their phone) or in person, she apologizes, has offered one time to add a credit on our account, but for the other times just says that I need to make a note in the order saying extra saucy and click the extra sauce option when ordering. Well last night was the kicker. I ordered online, did what she said and then actually drove up to the store before it was made and verbally told them EXTRA sauce. When I got it home, there was so little sauce on it you couldnât even taste it. Since we ordered a late night snack they were closed by the time we got it home to eat it. Luckily, I went up there as soon as they opened and talked to the nicest older lady there who offered a credit and said that because they have no GM currently a lot of problems occur with the night shift. She apologized sincerely and said that she was going to make it known to the manager on duty at night and the cook. I placed a delivery order with the exact correct address, hotel room number, and even dropped a pin on their interactive map to avoid any confusion. I also left clear instructions: CALL ME before dropping it off.
What did I get? ⢠No call. ⢠No food. ⢠No respect.
When I tried to reach out to the driver to explain, he hung up in my face. Then, as if that wasnât insulting enough, he had the nerve to text me minutes later saying he delivered my order to a completely different address and there was ânothing he could do about it.â No apology, no attempt to fix it â just pure negligence and arrogance.
This is not just poor service â itâs outright incompetence and unprofessionalism. Pizza Hut clearly has zero quality control, zero training standards, and zero care for paying customers. My money was taken, my food was stolen, and I was left hungry and furious.
If this is how Pizza Hut treats customers, Iâd rather spend my money at ANY competitor â even if itâs frozen pizza from a gas station â because at least then Iâd actually get to eat.
