I travel about Florida and the US frequently by car, so have stopped at many a Starbucks. My go-to morning coffee is a dark roast pour over. Consistently at this location the pour over doesn't taste like a pour over. It tastes different than any other Starbucks I've visited. The staff at all Starbucks always ask if they can change my order to a pre-brewed; I get it, the pour takes longer to make. If using the drive thru, and there's a line, I offer to drive thru a second time to not hold up the line. The last drive thru here, after confirming a pour over, the coffee I received was burnt, and tasted old and as tho brewed in a pot that hadn't been cleaned in days. When I complained next day, staffer said she remembered me and that I authorized a pre-brew substitution... So today, I went inside to place my order and watch to confirm a pour over was made. Problem solved! The reason their pour overs don't taste good is because when ordered via drive thru they consistently substitute pre-brewed. It was obvious as they didn't know how to create a simple pour over coffee. The staffer had to consult her manager, look up instructions, get help finding the filters. The store wasn't busy, and there were at least two other staffers who could have made this coffee, or helped, giving the distinct impression they don't make pour overs at this location. I believe, all along, this branch has been substituting my order. I suspect this is the morning manager's decision. Due to this dishonesty I'll never patronize this...
Read moreI will never return to this location after my experience this morning with the rude employees and manager. I have been a Starbucks customer for 10 plus years and this is the first time I’ve experienced not only such unprofessionalism but also hostility.
Additionally, I have placed hundreds of mobile orders and have never had an issue while picking one up. However, this morning unfortunately that was simply not the case.
This morning when I arrived for my coffee the barista at the speaker reminded me that I had “just placed” my order when I pulled up. I didn’t think this was a big deal since there were no other cars in the drive through line. When I got to the window he asked me to drive back around the drive through because there were other cars (1 car) they needed to help first (that came after me.) After driving around the barista stuck my coffee out of the window without speaking or even looking at me. When I asked if there was a problem with me placing a mobile order and coming to get my drink the barista replied “yes” that next time I need to wait 15-20 minutes as that’s their new store policy.
I called the store and asked to speak with the manager to confirm this new 15-20 minute rule and she was even more rude than the barista. She told me that yes it’s correct, that I should have waited the 15-20 minutes. She said I was in the wrong and asked me why would I come right after placing my order? She also said that I was the one who was rude to “her barista”. When I asked for her name she...
Read moreCame to this Starbucks Drive thru and been here before inside. At the drive thru in the morning, the girl handling the order was pretty rude and dismissive; especially when I asked her to notate “nut allergy.” Instead of proceeding to notate it she went to be combative and say “ we don’t have any nuts here.” Not my first time at Starbucks so I know that they do, she proceeded to ask in what do they have nuts in? So I simply asked her to notate the ticket and if she wasn’t sure to ask her manager. ( assuming she might be new). However, that’s pretty scary for Starbucks not train their staff or their staff to be so dismissive of a big safety concern ( and fyi I was ordering an iced Americano with whip) so pretty simple order. This wasn’t a complex order. I asked to speak to the manager, the girl at the window did get her. But quality of Starbucks service is dwindling, and not sure it’s worth the high price of a coffee and their lack of concern for customer safety. An allergy can send you to the hospital for hours and be financially taxing or even death. If I could have brought my Jura on this trip, I would have to avoid...
