I've eaten at Qdoba all over the nation. Let me explain. I use to travel for a living and I've been to 49 of the 50 states and eaten at Qdoba in most of them. Since I discovered Qdoba, I've chosen Qdoba over Chipotle because I always know exactly what I'm gonna pay at checkout and I've never been charged extra for ingredients or double ingredients (except meat). Chipotle charges extra for queso and guacamole so I go without on my burritos if I happen to go to Chipotle, which only happens if there is no Qdoba wherever I happened to be traveling. My burritos at Qdoba are always the same, altering between chicken and pork.
This visit I got a pork burrito for myself and a pork bowl for my wife. When I checked out I was surprised by a price that was the same as 3 entrees. I got half and half white rice/cauliflower mash, double corn, queso, and black beans in my burrito. In the bowl, I got cauliflower mash, double guacamole, corn, and queso. I was charged $1.50 each for the cauliflower mash and $2 each for double queso on both items.
When I questioned the cashier about my price being more than expected, she explained the extra charges I just explained, but with quite a bit of attitude. I then proceeded to explain that I had never been charged extra before and that's why I choose Qdoba over Chipotle. At this point the person who wrapped my burrito spoke up, with a very condescending attitude, and said that they always charged extra for these items and that I must be wrong.
As I stated in the beginning, I've eaten at Qdoba all over the nation and I've never been charged extra for double anything, except meat. The way I was treated when the extra charges were explained, along with being surprised by the extra charges at check out are why I am giving a 1 star review of this location.
As a loyal customer, I don't feel I should ever be surprised by a higher price. If a customer is gonna be charged extra, the employee should make the customer aware of the cost at the time of the request for extra. Also, attitudes during explanations that infer that the customer should know better, should never be a common work place practice. I am just as disappointed with Qdoba, by the way I was treated for being surprised by the price, as I am the unexpected price.
I will not be returning to...
Read moreFirst time here and honestly I don’t know what I was expecting but this was not it. I’m normally an easily going person when it comes to food but I didn’t realize you couldn’t customize your food. For ex, I couldn’t change my beans or anything when they were making it lol. That’s kinda weird... I couldn’t even change my pico for another sauce then I asked if I could change the whole thing so I can customize it and they just said no. Sooo I basically got a burrito I didn’t want and that leads me to the food not even being that great. It was cold and kinda bland... I honestly don’t know why they have such high stars and reviews but I guess to each it’s own 🤷🏽♀️
Also, side note: why wouldn’t you be able to change your own food that your consuming. If I go to subway and get a signature sandwich I can alter what’s on it and customize it even if it cost extra money. I should be able to eat what I desire to eat I’m paying for it and eating it lol I honestly didn’t know that was such a...
Read moreEdited Review: Returned to this location to see if changes had been made and they had. The food quality and service has vastly improved since my visit many years ago. The flavor of my burrito was one of the better Qdoba meals I’ve had in recent memory. The service was excellent.
Previous Review: Arrived with no one in line and still waited for nearly a minute until I had to bang on the glass and ask for service. Meat options were all amorphous masses to the extent that I had to ask if steak was available (it was one of the mush piles). Upon eating the burrito, the beans were hard and crunchy as if they hadn’t been cooked at all, rice was undercooked and hard, and the inside contents were cold and unmixed so that I had a mouthful of guacamole on the last bite. There were only a handful of napkins in the bin. This is probably the worst Qdoba I’ve...
