The ham was good....always is. BUT, I called last Thursday to make sure I could get a 4 pound ham and a red velvet cake ( husband's favorite, and has birthday surprise) Granted, I should have gotten the gal's name, but she told me no need to order....ham would be there and they had a case of red velvet cake. Fast forward to Saturday at opening time. First in store, I'd like a ham and a red velvet cake. A woman goes back to the freezer and comes back and says they sold the last 2 cakes yesterday. It took her quite awhile to return with that info, so long in fact, that the girl waiting on me went back to check on her. My guess is the woman who went looking is the one I spoke to, and she knew she had misspoken about availability. Suffice to say, I was livid. Ruined my birthday surprise....last time I take the word of the employee as gospel. I was coming from Denver and could have gone to another store, but chose the one closer to home. They said they could check the store on Pueblo, but that was 52 miles out of my way. Thanks for nothing! I will be hard pressed to shop there ever again....like starving, before...
Read moreWe have come to this Honey-baked Ham Company every year for Christmas to get a ham. We always pre-order and pay in advance. Today we went to pick up our ham, went through the prepaid line, and while they were packaging up our ham they tell us it will be $20 more than we had already paid. Supposedly this was because it was heavier. I didn’t want or need a heavier ham. If I had, I wouldn’t have ordered the one I did order. So the price went from $55-$75. Granted the ham was 3/4 of a pound heavier but that evidently cost $20. This is completely unacceptable that they can just charge $20 more to your account when you order and pre-pay. What is the purpose of pre-ordering if they don’t have the right size when you arrive at the time that they tell you to? We will never be going back to honeybaked ham. Read moreI came in just after 5pm day before Thanksgiving because my online order had failed to ship, hoping that the store had something left I could buy. The GM Angie and store associate Donovan got me one of every side dish and dessert they had left, as well as the turkey breast I hadn’t received, and Angie didn’t charge me at all! Completely saved Thanksgiving for my family, and I am very grateful!
I was also extremely impressed with how the very very long line out the door moved fast and efficient, proving everyone working here knows what they’re doing (much better than the online store). Instead of trying to order something thru the website again hoping it gets to my house on time, I’ll just be using this store and I recommend everyone else...
