Double D's BBQ Shack — Restaurant in Colorado

First of all, let's get the location out of the way so we can discuss the restaurant. : This is located in the Flatiron Building downtown. This indoor food court ( MUCH BETTER than the food courts you're thinking of) is so nice, and dare I say "charming"? Yes. Yes, I do! I don't care if my man cards gets revoked. There is a BEAUTIFUL bar in the middle of this "food court". I mean beautiful and classy but still casual. The restaurants are the same. I ordered from 2 others. I will be back for the atmosphere alone. But, also:

The food!! DDs was freaking delicious!! I got the jalapeño creamed corn ( no, not too spicy ) and bbq beans and brisket/pulled pork. Everything was great, although the beans needed a longer cooking time - like 30 more minutes. I still ate them because they were tasty enough AND because everything else was so good that it made the pithy bean texture not a big deal. The corn flavor was on point but I wouldn't call it creamed corn because it's not traditional creamed cord. Again, it doesn't matter because the corn was fantastic! And I feel like, for $20, I got a very good amount of meant AND pickles. Try the pickles!! They're spicy but great! Their BBQ sauce? A+++ Just the way I like it. Sweet and a tiny bit spicy. Perfection. The meat was so tender and perfect.

I also asked about the spicy level because I can't handle more than a little bit spicy. Not only did the cashier talk to me about it, the cook popped around the corner and talked to me! I felt excellent service level. I am an instant fan, loyal, and cannot wait to return. Which I will do 1 week from my first visit ( 3 days from right now ). Go to DDs, I truly believe you...

This food is absolutely the most delicious barbecue anywhere! Everything they cook is amazing, the brisket is the best you’ll eat in this entire region, the pulled pork is incredible, the collard greens are something that you must try if you aren’t from the south you probably haven’t had them and you are in for quite the surprise. Then they have this stunning jalapeño corn that is out of this world. I could go on and on everything is so good, we always buy enough for left overs. Lastly something that’s not always on the menu when they have pork belly burnt ends you have to try them, there isn’t any Barbeque from Kansas City to San Antonio that can match this...

Went to a wedding catered the Chavez family who own Double D'S BBQ out of Pueblo West. I had to write a review because the food was fan freaking tastic. The brisket was juicy and flavorful along with some amazing pulled pork. I tried the jalapeño corn and was pleased with the crunch of the corn and just the right amount of heat.
