I absolutely LOVED it here. My boyfriend and I came here for dinner a few nights ago and it was such a good date night experience. Our server Maddie was amazing and very attentive! She was very patient with my indecisiveness and was also very kind. I tried both of the bread options, the arugula salad, and the miso brown butter and mushroom noodles. The bread was so fluffy and both of them tasted great (my personal favorite was the truffle honey bread). I also had the arugula salad, I'm normally not the biggest salad person but the dressing and frozen raspberries definitely added so much to the salad to make it a perfect blend of flavor! The miso brown butter and mushroom noodles were also fantastic and I would definitely recommend them to anyone dining here. My boyfriend had the butter chicken alla vodka which he loved as well. I am not the biggest spice person and I would say that the butter chicken does have a bit of a kick, but he loves spicy food so he really enjoyed it. The caramelized peaches with burrata and prosciutto was an amazing combination that I didn't even know existed until I came here. It was probably one of the best dishes of the night in my opinion simply because of how well it all fits together and tastes. For dessert, Maddie recommended I try the ice cream mudd pie. This was ABSOLUTELY the correct choice. While I'm sure the rest of their dessert options are just as good, but the oreo mixed in with this decadent dessert was heavenly. Overall, I absolutely loved my experience here and will 1000% be...
Read moreFrom the outside its flashy, but after eating here its just that... Flashy. My initial concern of them having just the set menu available (chef doesn't know how to actually cook) seemed to be true. Herb and garlic butter bread was just cheap doughnut covered in oil and parsley (could barely taste garlic or butter). The truffle honey bread my friend had was just pre grated parmesan from kroger with a single drop of truffle oil. The baby gem was not trimmed whatsoever (found a few brused leaves on the outside) with 6 thin slices of radish (not enough for how much baby gem there was). The spicy chorizo sunshine was just Costco spicy sausage. The tomato sauce that went with it was made with too much chili flakes so the only other tasting note I could pick up from the dish was spice. The other tasting note I could pick up was the cilantro that was sprinkled on top... I'm pretty sure the kitchen chef doesn't know the difference between cilantro and parsley. The chicken in the butter chicken my friend had was way overcooked and was not properly seasoned/marinaded. Aside from the more than disappointing food, the table was wobbly, background music selection didn't match the interior design or food served, and staff were disorganized and spoke too quiet. Overall, it's not to the point of me washing down the food with water but it's...
Read moreOh, Flour. What an experience.
Let’s talk about ambiance: Flour offers you the exclusive experience of dining in an alleyway wind tunnel. If you’ve ever wanted your napkin, menu, salad greens, and soda can to fly into the main walkway mid-bite—this is your place.
I ordered one of the two choices for salad and received a large grocer sized container of mixed greens, two frozen raspberries (not three, not one—two), and a few shattered, overly-seeded entertainment crackers pretending to be croutons. The dressing? Orange juice and vinegar. Bold choice.
Next came the roll: small, dry, and wearing enough green seasonings to be in a St. Patrick’s Day parade. Then, the main event—eight pieces of something? Gnocchi? String cheese stick segments? No idea. Served cold-ish and slathered in Alfredo, marinara, and what I can only describe as a sneeze of pesto. I didn’t ask for a box after eating one bite.
For drinks, you get lukewarm tap water (classic), a can of Diet Coke (served straight from the vending machine vibe), and a glass of ice with a paper straw that gave up immediately.
To be fair, the service was genuinely great. Kind and attentive. But even the nicest server can’t turn disappointment into a dining experience...
