The Cheesecake Factory — Restaurant in Columbus

After my experience yesterday, at that cheesecake factory in Polaris. I am fully convinced that I will never go back there. My husband and his family, will never come back there.

Note: 9/4/2024 at 4:45pm, I was at the mall to pick up some stuff and I decided to grab a salad for my husband who's been at the hospital for eighteen hours, saving lives.

When the waitress brought the salad up to the counter, the first thing she said was the manager tossed the fried chicken in with the salad, I don't know why he did it, I asked him why he did it,

My question to her was, won't the fried chicken become soggy since it is a to-go order. She said she told him that, but he tossed the chicken in with the salad anyway.

I was livid, I was angry because, as a Jamaican, I recognize disrespectful demeaning behavior towards black people in America, I am married to a white man. I see the difference when I'm out with him compared when i'm out by myself. I firmly believe that the white manager was being disrespectful and demeaning towards me, and that is why he did such a disrespectful behavior by tossing the fried chicken in with the salad and the dressing.. He knew it was inappropriate because that salad also comes with fried onion rings and he did not toss the fried onion rings in with the dressing per their cheesecake policy

Why? Because when I came to pick up my order. I came in to store to buy some cheesecake and pay for a salad with the gift card that you guys sent me from messing up the ,$100 order on saturday. I asked why the salad was $25 and the gift card was only for 20 since it was identical salad with nothing different. They had to get him the manager to fix the $5 difference.

It's not the $25. It's the principle in the matter, This has been about the fifth time that we've gotten to order from that cheesecake factory in polaras, and something was wrong with the order.

To make matters worse after I said I didn't want the salad, The waitres went to go get him and when he came to talk to me at the counter, he VIOLATED my space by standing in my face. Almost like he was trying to bully me Into taking a salad that he had Had ruined with his demeaning, disrespectful behavior towards a black woman.

I will be sure to file a complaint with the better business bureau, and because I know they have cameras in their restaurant. I will probably file a complaint with the attorney general office for that man standing in my face talking to me with that bully behavior thank. And I will make sure that I leave a review on...

The staff and servers are awesome. The whole restaurant is beautiful on the inside. Kinda gave us The Villias on Notre Dome in Italy vibes. I would like to return and give it another try. With that being said I am giving food 4 stars simply because I haven't been to CCF enough times to really say if the food is good or bad for this visit. My first time going was today with my daughter for her 16th birthday. I was a little worried to even take my daughter there just because she is really the most picky when it comes to food idk how she has survived for 16 years haha. Some.of our food not all food, was a disappointment though. Mostly because i wished it was prepared differently not so much the flavor. The corn tamales was drenched in the avocado sauce, and soggy. I really wish it would have been drizzled on like the Chipotle sauce. However with that being said they seem to have a nice sweet taste and probably good crunch if not for being covered in sauce. But again that would been my preference for that dish I'm sure other customers love it the way it comes. Secondly on the main dish my chicken had a weird sour taste to it, and shrimp was under cooked. The best part of the whole meal in my opinion was the Factory Nachos and they weren't even mine they were my daughter's who didn't wat any of her food either but I can't complain on her end, because she's so freaking picky. It was just the wrong restaurant for this occasion I guess. Her cheeseburger looked and tasted fine to me, but she was concerned about slightest hint of pink meat. We always have and probably always will love the cheesecake tho. I'm sure other food is great and I'm excited to try more. However this time was not so much. Again I loved the Apmosphe and staff everyone was awesome our server even ended my daughter's meal with a complimentary parfe for her birthday haha at least I think...

Me and my boyfriend had a reservation for 11 here for his birthday, and let me just say this place is FANTASTIC. We were helped and seated as soon as we walked in for our reservation, and within a few minutes of sitting this wonderful server- Anthony (also goes by Tony) came and helped us. I can’t even begin to describe just how wonderful he was. He handled our drinks and appetizers quick and efficiently, and was a delight to chat with and ask questions. He was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The attention to detail was wonderful. Our food was amazing and delicious, and Tony handled our accommodations with care and excellence. An example of the attention we received is I commented on my arnold palmer being a little tart- my refill was a perfect balance and less tart, and other little things like that just make the experience great. My boyfriend was ecstatic for his birthday lunch and Cheesecake Factory went above and beyond our expectations. Tony was so excellent we requested a manager just to tell him how amazing his employees were and the environment was immaculate. He thanked us and chatted with us about how appreciative he was of us speaking up about our positive experience. My boyfriend was also treated to a free cheesecake (reward from my email) which they decorated the plate to say “Happy Birthday to you!!!” very cute. We only do this on special occasions when we receive the highest quality service, but before leaving we made sure to leave a generous tip as our thanks for the positive experience and exemplary service we got.
