The good: (1) The stealth tech soundsystem saves space, and works really well. I’ve never had surroundsound prior to this, and it’s really nice to have the sound wrap around you the way it does in the couch. (2) The color and fabric are exactly what we asked for, and are very nice. (3) The assembly was as expected. It took a little time and muscle, but was easy enough to figure out. (4) I like the cupholders and the fitted table. (5) We get a lot of use out of the charging ports that we added. (6) The hidden storage is handy, though not easy to access except in the base that we use as an ottoman. (7) Sales reps at the Polaris store have been very helpful and courteous.
The bad: (1) No one in the family thinks this couch is comfortable. On the couch, it feels as though you are being pitched forward. The cushions have lost their integrity already (we have owned for 10 months) - by this I mean, the cushions are squishy in the middle, and you sink into the couch. (2) Family members who like to take naps on the couch find it difficult to lay comfortably on this couch. (3) The couch is very heavy, difficult to move and difficult to clean under.
All told, we wish we had purchased something different. The primary function of a couch is provide a comfortable place to sit, and in that regard this couch fails. We spent nearly $8000, and could’ve gotten something much more comfortable for a much lower cost from Lazy Boy or Basset. We are moving in the summer, and this $8000 set from Lovesac is likely going to the basement. ...
Read moreI cannot say enough good things about Lorenzo at Lovesac. Every experience I've had with him has been amazing. He's helpful, but not pushy. The Lovesac products are definitely pricey, but thus far they are worth the expense (we're counting on the lifetime warranty for the springs and hardware).
Putting the product together is somewhat akin to assembling Ikea furniture. While there are instructions, the videos are a tad outdated, and makes it seem easier than it truly is. Also, if you have long fingernails, kiss your manicure goodbye before assembly. It took us approximately five hours to assemble seven sections. I'm not certain why after dropping nearly $7,000 on a sactional, I'm not provided the option of dropping another chunk of money to have someone else assemble it.
The only other negative item worth mentioning is that whoever develops their website and apps needs better requirements and development, and more robust testing. The app is not intuitive, inconsistent depending on the app or browser (we're using Chrome, not IE), and all are rife with bugs.
Again, I highly recommend an in-person experience with Lorenzo, but their online experience and assembling leaves much...
Read moreLove the company and its products. The service in store was great to start. The guy helping us was really informed about the product and what we were getting or other options for different price ranges. He also helped us get the most discounts possible. And definitely wasn't trying to just get a commission. It didn't feel like a sales associate at all and was very friendly and helpful. The only issue I had was as we were waiting to finalize our purchase and delivery the associate helping us left to help the other associate with another sale and kind of left us hanging when we were on a time crunch. Would have been nice to have more information about what we were waiting on/how long it would be. Extremely satisfied with the company as a whole and LOVE their...
