Shake Shack Short North — Restaurant in Columbus

I haven't eaten at shake shack in a while and nobody told me that they usually really nice people have been replaced with a computer kiosk and surly employees.

Should have known that we should have left when we saw the trash cans filling with water.... And the copious amounts of water all over the ground.

Took about 15 minutes to get some lukewarm food and that was incorrect. I mean Jesus I get it working in a fast food restaurant sucks but at least care enough to make sure people get the right food.

I'm not sure how it's supposed to work but for some reason they make you take a number and put it on your table but then they make you go to the counter and get the food.

They gave us the wrong burger and one of our party ended up biting into whatever their vegetarian burger is and thought they were being served raw food. Fortunately it was only a really crappy vegetarian burger that only looked and had the consistency of raw hamburger. The taste was subpar, mushy and room temperature.

So we took that back because it was the wrong burger and they gave us the right burger and I don't know how they managed it but it was cold too.

Did I mention we waited 15 minutes for our food and they gave us cold food?!

Now I Will give them high marks for their atmosphere because it's just like the Titanic when it was about to sink. With water pouring from the ceiling and giant water puddles on the ground.

Frankly I'm not sure how this restaurant is open considering the safety issues. I would have loved to have been there when they tried to move the giant trash can filled with what I assume is probably 80 lb of water.

I'm not sure what the rules are in Ohio but you'll see a photo of a sticker on one of the soda things telling you not to drink it because it's not safe. That seems good.

I will say this much I was so horrified by the food and the service or should I say lack of service that I will never go back to a shake shack. The restaurant that I enjoyed and felt like a good value was just completely crap.

Worst thing is I gave these people 15% tip not knowing that they were just going to give us lukewarm food after making use...

The food is excellent, best burger around. The app and in-person customer service is horrible. I’m surprised employees are allowed to talk to customers like they do. We used the app and our order was duplicated and charged to our card twice. We realized this within seconds so we tried to call the restaurant however no one answered. We left a message on the “managers line” and did not receive a call back. When we arrived they tried to hand us two identical orders. We politely explained we only placed one order and instead of apologizing were given attitude. We asked how the duplicate change would handled and in a rude tone the employee said “a refund will be issued”. We left concerned we’d be stuck paying twice for the one order. Not hearing back we called the next day and once again selected the phone tree option to send us to the managers line. Someone answered, we proceeded to explain what happened and she said the refund will be taken care of. We were concerned that she even knew who was calling so we offered to provide the order numbers. The employee abruptly cut us off and said “I told you I have it written down” in a very rude manner. Was that even necessary? I should further state that this was the second time the app duplicated our order. We use apps all the time and never have issues like this. So I’ll visit it today almost about two hours ago and I ordered a burger when I got my burger. I started to eat it and realize that it was more chewy than I would prefer it taste funny so when I looked down at my food, I realized that my burger was completely raw in the middle very bright pink to which point my husband took it to the counter and the young lady who was getting the orders out she was very polite her and the young man who were at the front expediting orders realize… Definitely was not OK she try to make it better by making another one, and I took the burger home with me however, I did not eat it because I was not feeling well after consuming the first burger that I ordered about 30 minutes after I left the restaurant I drove home but before I can make it home, I had to pull over because I was sick with vomit and then when I got home, it was a explosion so to speak that is not OK by any means because now I just came back from the emergency room and it has been confirmed that I had food poisoning from consuming the raw meat so my experience was not good that’s putting it very nicely. However, I would like to say that the restaurant was very clean. The customer service was very good and so that is the only reason why I I feel bad leaving this review, but it is the truth.
