Have dined at both Ted's locations numerous times but after my experience Tuesday evening I doubt I'll be back. We had tickets to a hockey game Tuesday evening. The location is perfect being right by the arena, but knowing it's size and the increased traffic I called Monday afternoon to see about reservations. A gentleman answered the phone and was very nice. He said they DID take reservations but I likely didn't need them. I said it would be for tomorrow evening at 6pm and he said that was fine - I gave him my name, phone number and number of guests, he said he had us down for tomorrow, see you then. When we arrived at the restaurant at 6pm it was packed and there was a wait just as I suspected - I went up to the hostess and said I had a reservation for 6pm, she quickly flipped her wait pages around and then looked up and said "we don't take reservations". I was completely dumbfounded but tried to explain to her the phone call from yesterday, again she looks up and says, "we don't take reservations, it's 45 minutes do you want to wait or not?" She clearly looked down, lifted the wait list and looked at the one underneath before stating they didn't take reservations - I felt like if that was really the case it should have rolled right off her tongue without her needing to look over her papers. I'm not one to cause a scene in the middle of a busy restaurant so we left. We have made reservations at the Dublin location in the past and never had a problem, I assumed this would be the same but it was far from it. I was furious - and couldn't figure out if the person I talked to on the phone the day before was mistaken/lying or if the hostess was up to something with her bizarre paper shuffling. Ended up having wonderful service at Buca Di Beppo so we were able to make the game on time, but I still was angry about the situation and embarrassed, we were with another couple and everyone was under the impression there would be a table...

First off, all this was my daughter & I first time dining at Ted Montana. We were going to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra at Nationwide; we saw the reviews and menu seemed to have a little bit of everything. We were greeted, added to the waitlist, which we were told would be about 45 mins to an hour. We had over two hours to kill so we sat at the bar to wait. We ordered homemade chips and water. Was very busy, it's a very cramped space wouldn't recommend unless you asked and waited for a booth. We sat along the wall in a space two chair table that felt like we were always in the way as we were in the direct path of the kitchen. Also note it is not wheelchair accessible you may be able to get through the door, but you couldn't go to the bathroom and would have to sit at the first table in front of the door with the constant air flow from the door. Anyway, our chips came cold not room temp but cold and it had several random French fries which made me think they were reused. We waited under the quoted 45 minutes for a table so that was nice. Our waitress was a delight. On a side note, as we were leaving the concert, she was on a smoke break, recognized us and asked how the concert was. Very sweet. Keep her at all costs! Food was just ok honestly nothing special, fish was mostly brown and squishy and daughter got the bison burger and kale salad. Neither of us finished our food. It took well over an hour to get our food so we didn't stick around for dessert but what made this experience THE WORST was while we were there not ONE but TWO waitresses ran by us to the back crying over, we have to assume was a manager. He was a tall dark-haired man with glasses. So that just killed the mood, and we couldn't wait to pay and get the heck out of the there. Wouldn't return. One star because of the great waitress! Food NOPE - Atmosphere NOPE - Service Time NOPE. Sadly, I don't have any positive about the...

Worst service EVER!

I ordered a burger without jalapeños and medium well and it came with jalapeños and medium rare. It took 20 minutes to get that, so I told them I would just eat the french fries. The server kept saying "I'm Sorry" over and over and over and over and over again. I was trying to enjoy my fries and all I kept hearing was "I'm Sorry." Then the manager decides to put his sense in and it was obvious that he didn't speak with the server first, because he immediately wanted to blame the server.

By the time they figured out what to do, the manager said they would put the burger back on to cook longer, which the server didn't know anything about. He took off sprinting for the kitchen. That makes me think that the burger was either in the trash or by the dishwasher. When I finally received my burger, which I was hesitant to try because of the reaction of the server, it was still under done and still had the same cheese with the jalapeño seed on it. I took one bite and set it aside.

Then to make matters worse, the server said he would take it off my bill and when we received the bill, guess what was on it... My uneated burger. So I asked him, "I thought you were going to take it off the bill?" And the response I got was, "Oh, I guess I can do that." You could tell by his tone that he had no intention of removing my meal.

We put enough money down for my husband's meal and left. On the way out the hostess said, "Hope to see you again." I responded with, "This has been the worst service I have ever had and I will never come back." She urged for me to talk with the manager, but why speak with someone who has no idea as to what is going on in the restaurant. It would have gotten me no where.

The only good thing about this place is that they're...

TLDR: Best restaurant in Columbus, has bison meat, cool atmosphere, and awesome staff! Absolutely must visit kinda place. I'm a native Montanan, but I swear I'm not biased. One of the top 5 meals I've ever had and best dinner I've had in Columbus. There were many reasons for this. 1. Ted's serves bison burgers. If you've never had bison, it is tastier than any beef burger and miraculously lean. Bison cooked medium rare is an absolute treat 2. The other ingredients on the burger were absolutely top notch. Gruyere cheese, bacon caramelized onions, baby arugula, blue cheese, and garlic aioli (the Avalon burger). All quality and a perfect combination. 3. Great atmosphere, really nice restaurant and bar, maps of central Montana on the table to make Montanans like me homesick, great presentation on everything. 4. I don't drink, but I did look at the drink menu and the selection was huge and not overpriced for its location. 5. Really nice clean restrooms. 6. Our server Noah was fantastic (as was the bartender who greeted us). He was the perfect combination of professional and engaging. Made us feel welcome, but didn't linger. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great dinner! Update: Ate here again for my birthday (my favorite restaurant in Columbus) and it was excellent AGAIN! Had the onion rings as an appetizer this time and they were spectacular, I forgot to mention how good their ranch is in the last review (a Montana must), and our server Ariel did an absolutely amazing job (the same mix of engaging and professional that made last time great.

🍔 **Burger Bliss at Ted's!** 🍔 If you haven't sunk your teeth into a burger at Ted's Montana Grill, you're missing out on a carnivorous delight that's the talk of the town! The burgers here aren't just meals; they're masterpieces. Whether you opt for the classic beef or venture into the wild with their bison options, each bite is a juicy journey through flavor town. The **Avalon Burger** is a crowd favorite, with blue cheese and garlic aioli creating a symphony of taste, while the **1977 America's Cup Burger** is a tribute to tradition with its hearty bacon and mushrooms. And let's not forget the **veggie burger** - hailed as the best in the steakhouse arena, it's a veggie victory that even meat-lovers admire! But it's not just about the burgers. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between cozy and chic, with a mahogany bar that whispers of elegance and a service that's as solid as their patties. Ted's Montana Grill is where quality meets culinary craftsmanship, and every meal is an experience worth sharing. So, next time you're in the mood for a burger that's a cut above the rest, head to Ted's. It's not just a meal; it's a Montana-sized memory in the making. 🌟 --- Feel free to share this review on social media or with friends who appreciate a good burger! If you need any tweaks or additional spicy details, just let me know!.

The Mrs and I decided to try bison meet for the first time before going to Nationwide for an event. I'd highly suggest making a reservation if you're also doing an event. It's possible to receive seating at the bar (pictured below) but it's first come first serve. They were able to graciously seat us earlier than our reservation making it perfect in time for our event! Cocktails were absolutely great. Both the blackberry smash and the new fashioned were both excellent, might I add, once mixed well enough. They definitely needed some more mixture but otherwise great. Buffalo nachos were also a great appetizer. Bison filet was a fantastic cut and I always order "as pink as possible" which includes 'blue rare' if a restaurant will do it. I was very satisfied with the level of pink (pictured). The onion rings and fries were both very good and I was a fan. The brussel sprouts were the chef special side for the evening and I must say I was a bit disappointed. They weren't bad, but for being the special side of the evening and an additional upcharge they definitely didn't deliver like I expected. Overall the brussel sprouts are not the news flash. You'll definitely enjoy your time here and the convenience of being next to the arena. Still highly recommend.
