I have been to Dave and Busters since they opened twice. The first time, it was a pleasant experience. Our waitress was super nice but was obviously still learning. The food was good, and definitely the game experience was great! however, I was there yesterday, and it was the complete opposite. our Waitress Danielle was less then attentive, and I felt disrespected. To start, we ordered (2) of your Corona Margaritas, (4) waters and some Nachos. We had not made up our minds, regarding what else to order. Our waitress said that she would put the order in and would come back. The water arrived within 10 min, the Nachos arrived within another 7-10 min, but the waitress did not come back to check if we were ready for the rest of the order. Finally, after I got her attention, we placed our order and I asked about our drinks. She said they were on their way and left to place our order. Another 10 min passed, and she came back to say that one of the items I had order was not available. I ordered a cheeseburger instead. We had ordered three things, a steak dinner, a burger and now my second burger. The first two arrived, and I asked once again about the second drink which had not arrived, our waitress said it was on its way, but by this time, I was annoyed. The second drink arrived about the same time that my burger arrived, which was at least another 10-15 min. I no longer wanted my food and to be honest, I did not even want my drink. My husband and son had been waiting for me to get my food so they could start eating, even when I insisted that they start without me. I never got an apology from our waitress. The server said that a manager was going to come out and speak to me, but instead I got the waitress and someone who was just as young and seemed to be another waitress come to my table. Danielle, asked with a bit of an attitude, what was wrong, I explained about the drink, the food and she was defensive and said that she had advised me that the item, that I had originally ordered was not available and that she had told me this right away. I said NO you did not, and she came back and said YES I did. I must also make a note, that my son works at this particular location and the reason, we went back was because he wanted my husband to see where he works, because he is very proud of the place. I was not going to argue with her, so I did not want the food anymore, but I told her I did not want to be charge for it. I also did not want to be charge for the drink that arrived super late. I did not get an apology and I did not speak to a manager. I can tell you that I feel that this experience will prevent me from wanting to go back. I believe that all guest, should expect 100% satisfaction or at least close to that when visiting your establishment. I could tell that they knew my son worked there because one of the servers came by to shake my son’s hand and asked…You work here right? Read moreSo we came to the new Dave and buster's in Concord,ca and I have to say it has been extremely disappointing. Walking in at first was a great experience. As soon as we were greeted by the waiter we felt uncomfortable as the waitress had her shirt unbuttoned beyond professionalism. Mind you I'm with my 2 kids and girlfriend. It was an uncomfortable experience from here on out. We came here for the niners game witch started at 1:25pm. First we ordered drinks and upon ordering drinks the kids drinks were watered down soda. Ok, not a big deal we swapped them out. When we ordered our drinks the first round was decent. The next round we ordered 2 of their cocktails witch looked nothing like the picture and tasted nothing like the description. We figured it was just busy for game day witch i can understand since I'm a supervisor at a bar. When we ordered appetizers it was around 1:45pm and we did not receive our wings until 3:00pm. Over 1 hour. Mind you, our waitress didnt even stop to tell us it would be awhile. This wasnt the biggest problem. We ordered more appetizers at the same time (1:45pm) as the wings and they still are not here. I'm waiting as we speak and its 3:10pm. We ordered another round of cocktails as well and were not pleased. I ordered a 805 22oz and it wasnt cold. Nowhere near 35 degrees that it should be. The "Frose'" was a blended drink witch was watered down and not blended properly. It was big chunks of ice you couldnt get through the straw. We would of complained but however our waitress was nowhere to be found or atleast still had not checked up on us. Will be back to complete the rest of the experience. I would also like to note that I'm a regular at the Dave and buster's in daly city and we have never had issues like this.
The result was 1 hour and 37 min for a damn appetizer. We still didnt get it at this point. We were fed up and asked for the manager witch took 15 minutes. Once the manager came she didnt even say she would comp us, nor ask what would we like her to do to make our experience better. Once they brought the bill it was delivered by the waitress and nothing was comped. They basically charged us for drinks and reloaded our game cards for the kids. I told them we dont want the $80 in game card points, to just take $80 off the bill witch was $130. It was back and fourth at this point. The end result was the bill was $93. Never again will be be back to this location. No handshake from the manager or sorry and thanks for giving us a try. Side note, you should tell your waitresses to button up their shirts and hide the cleavage that my 10 year old daughter pointed out and also tell you other waiter to take their spiked leather choker abd leather stud gloves that he has on off. Read moreLet me start by saying this was absolutely the worst experience ever. They were completely understaffed, overworked and overwhelmed. There was only 1 bartender and the line he had wrapped all the way around the bar so I gave up on ever getting a drink way before my nightmare even started. After waiting over 2.5 hours for a table (that was only suppose to take 45 minutes to get) I had to beg a bus boy to clean a table so me and my family could sit down and place an order. I waited in the restaurant/bar section the ENTIRE time to make sure I wouldnt miss them calling our name (that was added to the list at 835pm) because the loud speaker was competing with the music (which they never did). I had to wait an additional 40 minutes just to get service from a waitress and that was only after I flagged her down and went off. I requested a refill on my drink (which was non-alcoholic) and after 90 minutes I never got it and was told the bar was closed (which is confusing because my drink didnt come from the bar) as I sat there and observed them make 2 more (alcoholic) drinks after telling me this. When the food finally came there was food I didnt order, some food I did order wasnt there and the food that was there that I ordered was cold as all outdoors (as was everything on the table). When I informed the staff their response was "the kitchen is closed". The waitress who had helped me had vanished, they had no idea what I ordered and now no way to get me my food. Needless to say, I wasnt paying for cold food, I wasnt paying for food I didnt want or even order and I wasnt paying for food I didnt get. Smh. Every waitress claimed to be manning the bar ( yet as I stated earlier there was only 1 bartender) and as I sat there for that 40 minutes waiting to be helped I noticed about 5 waiters/waitresses huddled together behind the bar congregating. Not helping the bar, not manning the floor, not taking orders, not serving drinks. Not doing anything. They could have been waiting for orders to come out but judging by how cold the food was that they served I doubt it. And the guy taking names for the wait list had apparently at some point given up because he stopped calling names and handed the list off to the lady at the front desk who was selling players cards (who obviously had no idea what tables were available and open as she never called a single name off the list). One manager did try to help and soften the blow of this horrendous night by comping our players card for the next time we come but at this point I highly doubt we will be returning unless they make some...
