DXL Big + Tall — Local services in Pleasant Hill

My man friend is a rather tall and large type of guy and finding clothing for him that is both stylish and that fits well is a bit challenging. For this reason we shop periodically both online and in person at DXL. We have found the staff to be very polite and totally attentive to our needs whenever we have visited the store on Contra Costa Boulevard and, for this reason, we'll continue to shop at this store. The store is layed out well with plenty of room to browse the good selection of clothing available. I would have given DXL a five star rating were it not for the fact that there's room for improvement on their clothing lines in the store. They could improve this store and shopping experience by offering better selections (on shirts, pants and jeans) in particular. Super disappointed with how this chain has gone downhill. Their prices keep going up, while the quality of their products and service has plummeted. I took a chance on their in house shoe brand, after a month the shoes are falling apart, so uncomfortable i can barely wear them. I asked to return them for credit so I could buy a nicer, name brand shoe. The super rude manager had the nerve to say the loose stitching, threads coming out were "normal wear and tear" which I guess might be true for their low quality products, but certainly wouldn't be for anything approaching average quality. Since all their name brand products can be purchased on amazon for much less, they don't stand behind their in house brands, and their customer service sucks, can't really find a reason to keep shopping...

Ordered for next day delivery at the store. Got an email that both items were delivered but when I got to the store Pauline told me only 1 of my items were there. I showed her that on my email that both were delivered. Next day I get a call from the agent that actually received both of my items at the store but forgot to include it together in the same bag. Drove 60 minutes each day to pick up each item. Pauline could have done a better job in finding my second item that was easy to find per agent who received it said.
