Oakhurst Grill & Whiskey 41 Lounge — Restaurant in Oakhurst

We have been to this town a few times to go hiking since we do have a bigger size dog and most of the lakes by our house (which is an hour and a half away) don't allow pets this is where she gets to come and feel free. We hiked for about 3 hours and we ended up starving so I looked at google maps and searched up restaurants with outdoor seating and saw a comment that stood out to me "the staff were so kind to set us a table outside so our pup could join" Me being who I am and have worked in restaurants and customer service my whole life decide to call the restaurant first. They answered right away and let me know that it was no problem. My husband stayed outside with our puppy while my daughter and I checked in. thinking maybe she needed to enter from outside or behind the building, but to our surprise they held the door open for us and said to come right on in. Not only did the staff greet her with a smile but everyone had nothing but compliments for her. Once we sat down Tasha our waitress asked if we wanted some water for our princess and she actually brought out a dog dish with ice water in it. We had our appetizers the steak bites and coconut shrimp, and omg my husband fell in love with the shrimp and the coleslaw with it was the best we have ever had. I had a house salad with honey mustard and the bread bowl with clam chowder. Let me tell you I do not need to go to San Fransisco or Santa Cruz for good chowder anymore. I can never finish my bread bowls but today was a different story. Two of my family members had the ribeye with mashed potatoes and seasonal veggies and you could tell with every bite that every ingredient was fresh. The ribeye was ordered medium rare and they both came out amazing. We went to order a kids hamburger for our puppy and they asked if we would prefer just a hamburger patty with no salt or pepper which was a better option for her and the cook hand delivered her meal. We had at least 4 or 5 staff members come out to meet her and take pictures of her (including the manager) This restaurant not only has amazing food but their hospitality was exceptional. We most definitely will be returning and so will our pup!!!! Thank you guys so much you all are the definition of great...

Outstanding restaurant with great food and awesome service! We were staying at the adjoining Best Western for two nights near Yosemite and so had the good fortune of enjoying several great meals at the Oakhurst Grill.

On our first night we arrived fairly near to their 9:30 closing time due to a long drive from Sequioa National Park but we still got great, unrushed service. They sat us outside on the balcony away from everyone else since we had my sister's little dog along but our server Josh was attentive and speedy nonetheless. The massive Double Best Western burger I had was stupendously flavorful and of course very filling after a long day driving while my family enjoyed their bread bowl and salmon skillets as well. The second night was a Monday and the restaurant was surprisingly absolutely packed so we had to wait a few minutes to be seated. We happened to get Josh again and despite the huge dinner crowd the service was just as excellent. This time I got to enjoy their awesome 10 ounce sirloin while my niece loved her pretzel and beer butter appetizer. Josh even had time to bring our little Zoey a doggie bowl with some water to make sure she wasn't thirsty. The prices also seemed quite reasonable especially given how Oakhurst is a tourist town that's the nearest to Yosemite's south entrance.

The atmosphere was very cozy and friendly too with charming decor. We totally loved the giant bear statue right in front of the main entrance.

The two mornings we spent at the Best Western treated us to the restaurant's excellent buffet that's exclusive to hotel guests. Copious servings of hot bacon, sausage, eggs, fruit, and potatoes were a great way to start the day together with other choices like oatmeal, cereal, toast, and waffles straight from the two waffle makers. Service was efficient, the food was delicious, and we left very satisfied every morning.

We didn't get to sample lunch since they only open for it Thursday to Sunday but I'm sure it would have been just as excellent based on breakfast and dinner and we certainly wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Oakhurst Grill to anyone coming...

This place is amazing, if you every want to go to a good restaurant when visiting Yosemite, this is the one. The servers are so polite and nice. Both inside and out were sanitized properly and all the workers wore mask. Form the outside it looks a bit rundown but when you actually go in it’s really nice and neat with a bit of a old-fashion vibe to it. There are really cute bear models outside the grill which are great for pictures. Now talking about the main part of a restaurant...the food, it was amazing. The menu was online and can be accessed threw google maps. They also offer you to scan a code for easy access of the menu before you get seated. Everything was so planned out for the pandemic and also just in general. My family ordered the Pink Lemonade, Salmon Hawaiian Kabobs, Shrimp Alfredo, Filet Mignon -medium rare, Creme Brûlée, and Cheesecake Bites. Everything were the perfect portion. The lemonades color was so pretty, it was a perfectly sweetened very refreshing drink. The Hawaiian Kabobs were plated so beautiful, the salmon was cooked to perfection and the sauce was a perfect match. The Shrimp Alfredo was not overcooked by one bit and the sauce was so creamy. The Filet Mignon was cooked perfectly and was so tender. The mashed potatoes that came with it were wonderfully seasoned and very soft. The desserts were amazing too. The creme brûlée was not overly sweet and was the perfect size. The cheesecake bites sweetness was also balanced perfectly with a hint of a raspberry coulee. Their food service was also super fast and efficient even when there restaurant was packed. The servers also checked in on you very often to make sure you were happy with your meal and all. The food was a little bit on the pricier side but it was definitely worth it. This place is pretty much perfect. I’m very happy with what l got out of this place. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for...
