I was pretty disappointed with the food I got from here. I ordered online to pick up and go. The food was ready at the exact time it was scheduled for online, so that was nice, but when I got home (about 8 min. after picking up food) the pasta I ordered was already getting cold. So I'm thinking they must've had it just sitting on the counter, not even under a warmer or anything, so it was already cooling down before I even got it. Also, I had arrived about 15 minutes early, so I did see the bag that had my food sitting on the counter for 10 minutes, just didn't know they had already put the hot food in there. I had ordered a salad for myself and a side of pineapples for my daughter, so I assumed that's what was in the bag, and not the pasta. Another thing I was upset about was the pasta I ordered for my daughter, off the kid's menu, was too spicy for her so she didn't even eat it and I ended up just throwing it away. That could be my own misunderstanding since this was my first time eating from Chili's, so I don't know if that's just how the kid's pasta is prepared. I had ordered the Cajun chicken pasta for myself, so I was just thinking they might've prepared the two pastas together, and that's why hers was so spicy.. But on the menu, the kid's pasta was just described as cheesy pasta, or something like that, so I was just disappointed that it came out so spicy, very similar to mine. The chicken in hers was also slightly over cooked and dry. Mine was great though! Anyways, I had mixed feelings about the whole experience. My order of the Cesar salad with the Cajun chicken pasta was delicious, although slightly cold. But my daughter's ended up being a waste of money since she didn't get to eat the pasta, and just shared my salad and had her pineapples. I had to get her something else to eat, which was again, disappointing that we couldn't sit and eat our meals together. I'd probably eat here again though, but wouldn't be a first choice. Sorry for the probably unnecessarily long post! To sum it up, my order tasted great, although it was cold, and if anyone orders the cheesy pasta for their kids, just be aware that it may be pretty spicy, so maybe choose something else if your child doesn't like, or is unable to...
Read moreI grew up in Phoenix, AZ and Chili's has always been my favorite go-to chain restaurant. Yeah, not so much anymore. This Chili's is by far one of the worst restaurants I've ever been to. Besides the fact that getting a table here is a nightmare in itself, every time I've gone, there has been something going on that completely ruined the experience.
One of the most notable bad experiences started with a fellow customer puking all over the floor at our feet in the waiting area and then running from the restaurant. I could sympathize that this may not have been the restaurants fault, except that my party and I were then solely responsible for redirecting people around the mess on the ground while employees stepped over/around it and seemed completely oblivious to the fact that yes, that is vomit on the ground and yes, people are stepping in it. Finally, after what was likely 8 to 10 people stepping or nearly stepping in the mess, a manager came over with a mop and bucket while another employee hovered around letting us know how disgusted she was. Helpful.
On more than one occasion, and I know this has less to do with the restaurant as much as with the people who visit it but, children have been running amok sans shoes, yelling, screaming, and generally being disruptive (throwing food, running up to random tables, getting in the way of servers trying to work) while their guardians looked on and/or ignored them completely over their margaritas. I've got two kids of my own and I would never let them behave that way in any type of restaurant, and it was a little disappointing that management doesn't seem to care much either.
Needless to say, Chili's, I've moved on to better things. I enjoyed our time together but this location truly...
Read moreFrom the moment we stepped in, we had problems. We walked up to the host stand, said that it was just two of us. She got the headcount of the group behind us too (also 2 people). She decided to sit the group behind us first and tell us to wait on another table. So we sat down, a group of 4 came in and she sat them after like 2 minutes of waiting. Meanwhile, we are still waiting for someplace for two. We didn’t say we needed a booth or a table or a high top so I don’t understand why we were first to arrive and sat last. We should’ve just walked out then and there, but we decided to stay. I ordered a margarita that came 20 minutes later and melted. I waited another 10 minutes to get our servers attention to explain that I don’t want a melted drink. She said she’d have the bartender remake it, but it came back emptier. I think they just poured out the liquid and added more slush. After that, I received my chicken bacon ranch quesadillas at the same time my boyfriend received his salad. The server came and asked if everything was okay (5-10 minutes later) so I just asked for my soup and his food. Which she got. And we discovered mushrooms, lettuce and onions under his fries, and it was just chicken crispers and fries supposed to be on the plate. So I definitely don’t recommend if your allergic or don’t want your food mixed with other peoples orders. Then they tried to say that our free chips (that we get every time we visit by using my phone number) was gonna increase our bill since the server put it in wrong. And she also charged more money to upgrade the salad even though my boyfriend just asked for a house salad. Chilis is my go-to place but I don’t plan to ever go here again. At least not to...
