I don’t usually award 1 star reviews to anyone but today i will make an exception.
I just ordered from Dominos Pizza in Cottage Grove and by the time i received my pizza it was stone cold.
And that was due to poor communication with me on the Dominos Pizza website.
I’m a Senior and i always prefer to order from my Desktop instead of on my phone.
I followed the instructions on the Dominos website exactly and i was headed towards the checkout when the website asked if i wanted Carside Pickup and i said yes.
Since this was the first time i have ordered from the Dominos website, it should have informed me that i would need to order from the Dominos Mobile App in order to utilize the Carside Pickup option.
But the Dominos Website didn’t tell me that and thats where my order went downhill from there.
I drove over to the Dominos Store and waited for 20 minutes in the parking lot for someone to bring out my pizza.
I finally gave up and went inside the store to pick up my stone cold pizza.
On my way in to get my stone cold pizza i noticed a sign by the door that said two things:
1.) when you arrive for Carside Delivery please turn on your flashers
2.) please open the Dominos App and click I Am Here
Now if you recall i wasn’t invited to install the Dominos App before i arrived
And i wasn’t able to see the sign from where i was parked in the parking lot
So i picked up my stone cold pizza and drove home. I live about 5 minutes away from the store and my pizza should have been warm-ish when i arrived at my house
The moral of this story is:
Don’t presume your customers know anything about your company policies and procedures. Take every opportunity to spell out everything and lead your customers every step of the way.
If you prefer that your customers use your App to order that’s fine, but when they start ordering from your website, and they need the App to utilize special features like the Carside Pickup, then you need to tell them that on...
Read moreTried again online ordering system, fail! I sat in their parking lot for twenty minutes before it dawned on me that the order bar was never displayed. Went inside and they confirmed, no order. They were very helpful and took my order and it was filled within twenty minutes. The food was hot, good and this $20 deal(2 pizzas, garlic knots, two liter pop(which I just now realized, I never grabbed) and cinnamon sticks) was enough to entice me to buy. I'm not a pizza eater except when I have a hankering for it and this hit the spot Pizza- very good Knots- great seasoning Cinnamon twists- haven't eaten yet I was not disappointed with this purchase Online ordering system is hit or miss with me. This time I gave cc info and hit "place order" tab and waited. It finally returned to the main screen, so I assumed the order was accepted, but, apparently it was not. It's always something it seems with their system. I recall the same thing happened last year a couple times and I just gave up on it. Lost revenue. Otherwise, good experience I could be just full of user...
Read moreUpdate 2023 Nov I decided to order again it seems the quality has improved and I am not left feeling cheated so lets update review. I ordered two Italian Heros they were great. The delivery is hit or miss my last two orders I recieved no notifications at all. The site keeps glitching and if I had to guess management and workers are burning out again. Despite hiccups orders have been right and warm. Workers only get to keep tips if cash do not tip using card!
2017 They straight up gave me the wrong pizza 2 times in a row now. I got a hold of the manager and when I said what happened he just hung up. Does this picture look fake?! I don't like making waves and everyone makes mistakes what matters is how you respond to mistakes. Good thing it was just pizza because I felt like it and not for an event or something. I will no longer order from the Cottage Grove East Point Douglas Dominos until something big changes also I get at least one pizza on the house with the correct order as seen below otherwise Papa Murphy's is fine with me. (Albeit not...
