This place was great up until we had an encounter with the "GM" Audrey. She came up to our table while we were with another employee and she proceeded to say "must me be nice to sit down and do nothing" which was extremely rude and immediately put me off. Made me want to immediately leave the bar and go somewhere else. I stayed because I had friends I was with and they liked this bar. I went to go use the restroom inside with another friend who has a service dog, a licensed service dog. Who also showed proof of that at the door. The bouncer proceeded to ask the "GM" Audrey who told my friend that has a service dog that she could use the portapotty. My friend with the service dog again showed Audrey her license for her service dog and stated that she needed her service dog to use an actual restroom. Audrey stated "whatever im not going to argue with you" which is extremely rude and again put me way off. My friend and I explained the situation to the manager who was extremely apologetic and nice and kind and offered to buy us drinks which we politely declined, because free drinks wasn't the point. I work in customer service myself, have been doing it for the past 11 years. If Audrey wasn't aware of the laws for customers with service dogs, the least she could of done was ask her manager. However Audrey who is the "GM" of this establishment had a bad attitude from the time we walked in. If Audrey does not enjoy working with the public it is highly suggested she find employment elsewhere. As she puts a bad vibe to a good bar. If we wouldn't have dealt with the "GM" Audrey, we would of had a...
Read moreMaybe this was a fluke experience, maybe it wasn't but I can say it was our first and only experience we will have with this establishment.
I was very excited to bring my husband (who is from the UK and spent many years growing up in Ireland) to this pub based on the rave reviews on google and their website.
Unfortunately, we ended up very disappointed with our service.
We went for Saturday brunch, the place was by no means busy. Had our waiter simply spent a little less time flirting with his one other table we may have gotten better, quicker service.
Food was way overcooked yet came out cold. As a food industry professional, it was very clear our food sat under a warmer for far too long becasue our rather forgetful waiter was not concerned with serving nor attending to our table.
We had to ask 4 times and wait nearly 40 minutes for hollandaise sauce that was forgotten on our salmon benedicts and at the end of it, he charged us extra for the sauce... as a side of sauce!
He never asked if we wanted drink refills, never asked us we needed anything additional, never checked on us at all. We had to flag him down 4 times to ask about sauce, and he just kept saying, " yeah, i'm getting it" in a rude tone and still.... we had to ask multiple times over nearly 40 minutes and flag him down if we wanted water and even still that was wasn't prompt either. I'd get it if it were a weekend and the place was booming and he had more tables than he could handle... but that wasn't the case.
Waiter was rude, lacked self-awareness, and simply seemed disinterested in attending...
Read moreI came in on a Sunday in the late afternoon, on my first night in town. I was quickly greeted and seated in a booth. The waitress came over only a couple minutes after I was seated to take my drink order. My drinks (non-alcoholic) came out quickly and were accurate. I ordered bangers and mash (with no modifications) and it came out within 10 minutes, looking and smelling incredible! The bed of mashed potatoes were silky smooth with a few potato skins mixed in. The peas came out as expected and were a great contrast to the flavorful bangers and gravy! The gravy was tasty and coupled perfectly with the bangers and mashed potatoes. The waitress (I forgot her name as soon as she said it) was incredibly kind and attentive. Atmosphere was super dynamic - the outside patio was open and numerous locals came in to tell the staff they were going to sit outside; the bar area had a number of TVs on with all the sports games on; the bar crowd was very friendly and not overly loud at all; the dining room seemed well equipped for an evening rush; the booths in the bar area were the best of both worlds, a more easygoing Sunday afternoon vibe. All of the staff were very nice, and if I lived here, I can tell this would be my local bar/restaurant/watering hole. Overall, great experience in a super cozy and...
