I am giving Maggies a 4 star because the breakfast staff is AMAZING! The food is always great. They are always ontop of it even when we bring in a 12 top at 8 am. They are great at what they do. The food is always good morning day or night. I cant stand the afternoon/evening crew though. I got takeout once. I stood in the main room with the bar and piano surrounded by maggues employees eating pizza hut with their boyfriends yelling and i mean yelling about stupid drama about a kitty and a cat some mother daughter duo in town. No one said high to me except a young scantily dressed cocktail waitress who obviously didnt even work in the restaraunt part. She got the guy who rang in my order. He came down with a tude. And as u watched him take my payment and such i realized he was taking money out and not putting it all in the drawer. Very odd. They forgot the soup the salad the dressing and dips for 4 of the 6 meals only to were edible and of course we didnt notice til we made it home. Had to push for a refund when we took it back down. We said we wanted a refund but instead they remade it and when we finally came back after getting food elsewhere they were pissy because they remade it and had to throw it away again. I told them i never asked for that and that when something is wrong with food i never take it back because who knows whos cooking and what their morals are with my food. The night staff is bad too. We sat at the bar because this tiny older lady was hemin and hawing about opening the second dining room. So we said bars fine. We flipped through the tv after ordering. I used the bar gun to get refills cause she was not worried about us. She brought us our food and proceeded to tell us.all about her and why shes working and blah blah blah. I dobt care im hungry and trying to converse fill my drink. But she didnt just kept talking. The food waa still great but not worth that we still havent been back except for breakfast because the breakfast ladies are...

The restaurant is somewhat depressing. Walked in around 230pm Sunday to get some lunch. The whole restaurant is dimly lit. Waited about 5 minutes to be greeted at the host stand. Another 3 min to be seated. Saw a few dirty tables. Not too big of a deal so far. Once seated, we were greeted immediately and my husband and friend received their drinks immediately. I ordered my drink with our lunch order and it took about 10 min to be served. Got my water immediately, but it just tasted off. My vodka tonic ok. Might have been the elevation that made it flat. I don't know. Then our food arrived about 10min later. I ordered the club on sourdough with fries. The fries were good. The club was not really edible. It was somewhere between 3-4 inches tall. Just massive. Unless you are able to unhinge your jaw, you can't really eat it whole. The bread was toasted, and as dry as the Sahara. It was comprised of 3 slices of toast, 3 fat slices of ham, 3 slices of turkey, 2 pieces of chewy bacon, a slice of what tasted like Kraft single, a slice of swiss (prepackaged), 2 thin tomato slices, a slather of mayo (only on the top slice of toast) and 2 pieces of some wilted lettuce. I tried deconstructing some of the layers and building my own smaller sandwich, but nope. Got a few bites in when I noticed a stage mouth feel. The meat had a slight slime on it. I ate almost all of the fries, and picked apart the sandwich trying to make the best of it while my husband and friend seemed to be enjoying their food. We all noticed that the restaurant itself is very quiet. They don't play any music in the restaurant, at least the time we were eating. We found out later, there is a time limit on drinks. Because the restaurant is inside a casino, you get one alcoholic beverage per 30 min according to the rules. Would of been nice to know when we placed our...

My Family went over the weekend for the ice festival. Maggie's was recommended by someone at the Brass Ass casino Since the casinos aren't kid friendly. We were put on a Wait list for a table for twenty minutes but others that walked in seemed to go right into the dining area. We ended up getting a little a table near the bar so we didn't have to wait. We got drinks fairly quickly. We ordered a burger, cheese quesadilla, and a prime rib sandwich all with fries. It was probably a half hour later after our waitress kept going back and checking that our food would be out any minute. When our food came out we got the burger and quesadilla. And my plate turned out to be something fried with cheese in it. I asked is your prime rib sandwich fried?? She said I don't know, let me ask. She comes back with oh, they were out of prime rib. Shocked, I asked why didn't anyone let me know they were out, let alone ask me if I wanted to order something else. Not to be surprised with a chicken sandwich that I didn't order. She had no words. Upset I said its fine I'll try the chicken, and it was terrible. She ended up apologizing but it was done. All of our plates were left full as the food was less than mediocre. I asked for the manager when we got our check to inform her of the situation to see if we can at least get our drinks comped. Not once did she apologize and gave the waitress our ticket with the comped chicken sandwich. I would've gladly paid for the chicken but everything about our service and experience was terrible. I'm surprised to see that they have 4...

First time to Maggie’s Restaurant, which is located in the lower level of the Colorado Grande Casino in Cripple Creek.  The dining area is fairly small, and serving staff is limited as in many restaurants, but the staff worked efficiently to seat and serve us. Menu had a variety of choices, from appetizers, burgers, entrees and desserts.  Started off with shrimp cocktail and a dinner salad, which both were fresh and served quickly.  Dinner was served soon after, Grilled Chicken Salad, Green Chili Burger, Rueben Sandwich, and Fish and chips.  The Rueben and Green Chili Burger was a generous serving, and very good.  Chicken salad was simply a tossed salad with diced grilled chicken, and the Fish was similar to a frozen fish filet.  The outstanding items were the French fries, hot and crispy, along with similar style onion rings. Overall, a nice place to grab some food and pricing within the normal ranges for todays restaurants. From this experience, sticking to the Burgers and Sandwiches seem the way to go.  The staff was very friendly throughout the service, and would be glad to make another visit.

Don't expect much from this place in the means of food or service. I ordered a dirty martini with Beefeater, which they dont carry. No problem, I then switched my order to a vodka martini and couldn't drink it. Below I posted a picture of my martini. It's not even the correct color. It was terrible. After my meal arrived I had finally asked for a glass of wine, I was shocked at the heavy pour, but cool..... my "sent back" drink and salad plate were never removed from the table.... all that being said (I know I sound picky) the food was blah. I was starving and ate nearly my entire burger, I did enjoy the fries. Please skip the N.Y. strip and hot wings. The poppers would have been more enjoyable with an appropriate dip. Not salsa and sour cream. We left a nice tip because we did well at the slots. But I wont be going back.

I want to say the service was excellent. The atmosphere was romantic. It is 21+ only which is even better but... unfortunately.. the food was awful 😬 Not tooo horrible to not eat any at all but not good enough to finish. We'd also been driving for 10 hours. We got Jalapeno poppers, Burger and the Shrimp Alfredo. The Alfredo tasted like mozzarella and milk boiled down and left an almost gritty texture in the mouth. The Jalapeño poppers tasted like raw bell pepper, with some nacho cheese, fried. The burger was decent, a bit overcooked from what was ordered. I'm not sure how the other restaurants in town compare as this was the first place we went after getting our cabin.
