We came for crabs but of course we did not just eat crabs.
This restaurant serves mostly spicy hot stuff but you can order foods specifying the level of 'hotness' you want starting with 'not spicy'.
The interior decoration of the restaurant is interesting. When we arrived at around 5:20pm on a Friday, there was only one party dining inside. So, the restaurant wasn't too busy. By the time we left, around 6:00pm, there were more customers. I would say there were about five to six parties inside. There were only two waitresses so service could be short when there were more customers. One party came in and had to ask for attention which they didn't get. Eventually they left without ordering.
The crab was about twenty dollars a pound. The one we ordered was nominally 2.1 pounds but we could not tell if it was precisely weighed. The soup noodles we ordered were not impressive. I would say they were about average (3 stars) but the soup base didn't seem so appetizing. The crab was OK. The little hot pot we ordered was also average. The prices are generally good though.
We came just to try their crab, and it wasn't impressive. We have other more preferred...
Read moreThis is an interesting place. First off, it's more a Chinese restaurant than a Cajun Crab/seafood place. They have many Chinese food dishes alongside the typical crab/crawfish/seafood options. Second, most everything from cups to fork/spoons are disposable. Third, the spicy is SPICY. I love spicy and hot foods but some of the grilled skewers set my mouth and world on fire. The crab with garlic butter sauce medium was more reasonable, as the sauce helped mute the overall spiciness.
I liked the place and am looking forward to going back and trying some of the hot pot dishes now that I know what to expect and better understand what type of restaurant this is. I do wish they had real silverware, I consider disposable stuff to be a waste and frankly just...
Read moreThe Calamari was good, it has a light batter and not rubbery at all. The seafood was fresh. My lobster was so fresh it tasted like it was pulled from a tank moments before cooking! It was also not overcooked which I was pleased about. I didn't give a higher rating because the sauce we opted for (Cajun) was very oily. I have been to other seafood boil places whose sauces are very flavorful sauces without being complete oil slicks. Staff is friendly and dressed in cute sailor outfits. Service is OK, maybe it's because we were sitting in the side dining room , but it took a while to get the cracker and our check. This place is still in soft opening so I hope they...
