The service was slow, our waitress was almost non existent after we ordered. I had to go to the bar to get my water refilled to was down the dry pizza crust. We ordered the Kitchen Sink Pizza. The toppings were ok but the crust was dry and tasteless. Our bill was wrong and then a 20% gratutuity was automatically added for service that didn't warrant it. The worst was the bar staff overheard a conversation my husband was having with another table that was part of our group of friends and after he ordered a beer and paid for it @ the bar that he was cut off when he tried to order another beer with our food order. He was not intoxicated and both he and I tried to explain the story they overheard was from a cruise we had been on 3 years earlier. Then we asked to speak with a manager to explain the story and he took a very defensive position with us and claimed because he came into the restaurant with an empty beer bottle from a bar down the street that he asked the hostess @ the front door if it was ok to enter and was told it was ok and witnessed by our friends with us. The manager accused my husband of lying stating none of his hostesses would have allowed him to walk in with the beer bottle. This was after he gave the empty bottle to the bartender and ordered a beer from her and paid for it while our party was getting seated and settled in to order dinner. The whole experience was horrible and the puffed up attitude of the manager and staff just made it worse. I have never witnessed such unprofessional service and attitudes from a restaurant. If you are expecting a good food and a good time out with family and friends don't go here! We were there to celebrate a birthday and engagement which had been perfect until we went into that restaurant. Also we had called ahead of time to inquire about if they used any peanut products in their food and was told no and they used canola oil and then when trying to order was told no they use peanut oil. We had a member in our party who has a severe peanut allergy and didn't want to take the risk. He had to leave as did my husband after the incident about ordering the beer because he was upset and embarrassed and didn't want to cause a seen and ruin our daughters birthday and engagement. We were a party of 14 with all adults. I was also told that our waitress felt uncomfortable to come to our table after the incident with my husband but had no problem adding her 20% gratuity to our bill. I was also told that it was a restaurant thing and had nothing to do with her. She and her colleagues stood in the kitchen doorway staring @ us and talking about us after the incident after my husband cancelled his food order and left the restaurant and waited outside with our other friend who had to leave because of his food allergy. All in all the restaurant and staff sucked! FYI, when we talked to other locals we told your establishment was one of the worst restaurants in town. By the way you did call the police on our friend who paid his bill but refused to tip our crappy waitress. The police came and told you thst as long as he paid his bill that you could not force him to pay a tip. He even told to call the police if you pushed the issue. And as far as the liar in the whole scenario, that would be you sir, as I use that term loosely. My husband was not intoxicated after one bottle of beer he bought @ another bar there off the town square where a sheriff's deputy watched him sit and drink on the town square as we were getting pictures after my daughter's proposal. You can spin this story however you like but the truth lies with me, my husband and the other 12 people that were with us. Also no one ever cussed out the waitress, only refusing to tip her for terrible service We were made to feel just as uncomfortable. Just know this we nor anyone we know will ever visit your establishment again. Have a good evening and enjoy the lies you...
Read moreWell, unfortunately my family and I didn't have a good first time experience. We walked into the restaurant around 12pm on a Saturday. At the time there was only 1 other table seated, so we thought, "This should be a quick lunch!" Our waiter had not come to our table for quite a while. A waitress finally came up and asked if someone had come to our table yet, which we said, "No, not yet." She apologized and then wrote down our drink and food orders as we had two little kids with us and was somewhat in a rush. She went to the back to give the orders to our waitress and then our waitress came out with our drinks. She apologized as well which was very nice and appreciated.
Here's where things slowly started going wrong. We ordered a margarita pizza, a kids size cheese pizza, a calzone and some meatballs. We received the calzone and meatballs fairly quick, but it took a little over 50 minutes for the margarita pizza to come out. About 10 minutes later our waitress comes out and says that she never rang in the cheese pizza, so it was never made. She did ask if we still wanted it which we said "Not a problem. It happens. Sure." Thankfully our kids could eat the margarita pizza, so we just gave them pieces of that.
To be honest, the pizza sauce was ver bland. Now before someone says, "Ya, you ordered a margarita pizza. It's supposed to be light in flavor.", we also had the meatballs AND a calzone which both also came with sauce. We all tried each others and said the same thing. It just lacked flavor. It didn't taste bad, there was just nothing special our delicious about it. We all ate our food because we were hungry.
Our drinks had been low for a while. I ended up asking a different waitress if we could get refills as we didn't see our waitress that much. Our waitress comes out from the back and says that they just ran out of carbonation, so they can't make any sodas right now. I ask for a lemonade--the lemonade is flat and just tastes like water.
It ends up taking a little over 40 minutes for them to make the kid's cheese pizza. My wife and the kids ended up going outside to walk around while my father and I waited for the pizza because everyone was done eating.
The owner ended up coming over and apologizing for our experience and she took the cheese pizza off our bill which was very nice and appreciated.
Now, this could have totally been a one off experience that we had, but it just left a bad taste in our mouth for the next time we're in Dahlonega. We didn't understand why it took SO LONG for our pizzas to get made and come out when there was hardly that many people in the restaurant the entire 2 hours that we were there. It was also 12-2pm...

On vacation with my family (party of 10) and this location was literally the only bad experience we had during the entire vacation. We arrived for lunch, they had a sign that they didn’t have pasta or hoagies that day… ok that’s fine. We order pizza, Stromboli, hummus, and a salad. We paid right away (our mistake, but honestly probably why the remainder of the visit they didn’t care about anything…. They already had our money) and explained we weren’t trying to rush them, we were just trying to be fast on our end so we could make it to tubing by 4:00 (it was 1:30). Server was so nice and super sweet. Order put in…… we didn’t get our food for over an hour. We asked for updates around 45 minutes and we were told it would be out soon, that apparently there was an oven issue they’ve had all day (but didn’t tell us at the beginning). Most of the family left after eating super fast once the food came, but my sister-in-law asked to speak to a manager. This lady told her to get the card it was paid on and it would be refunded. She returned with the card and someone else started screaming at her in front of the entire restaurant, saying nothing would be refunded. She was embarrassed and upset, so she walked out. My boyfriend and I walked back in to address this. The lady that screamed wouldn’t come out, but another waitress did. She was nice and told us the lady that yelled was the manager, and she sent someone for the owner. He came around the corner, in front of the restaurant saying “I’m busy cooking, you’re just gonna have to wait”. I said “excuse me? Are you the owner? Why are you being rude and talking to us like this in front of everyone like this without even listening to us?.” He waved me off and said “I don’t have time for this.” AND WALKED AWAY!!!! We walked out because we aren’t letting this ruin our vacation, but who runs a business like that? Things happen, I get it…. But the owner (and manager for that matter) should’ve come out and apologized for the wait, explained the oven issue, and given us the option to go elsewhere with that knowledge…. Instead he acted like he did not care about his customers at all and was more disrespectful than I’ve ever seen anyone running a business behave. I’m grateful that my kids were outside at the time and didn’t witness that behavior. We vacation there often, and will never return to that restaurant. As far as the food….. pizza was a premade dough and had an odd taste. Mediocre pizza for the price. Regretting not just cancelling the order when it was taking so long and finding...
