12.16.2020: Campisis website: Thank you for your patronage! The Management Campisi's Restaurant DOWNTOWN DALLAS 12.15.2020: The Real Campisis Downtown? VERY DISAPPOINTING -- DON'T DO IT! Lunch order - arrived with chewing gum wrapper inside that had chewed gum in it. Compliments of either the driver or Campisi's. Either way: it is a BIOHAZARD AND REPULSIVE. 100% acceptable - and totally out of character!! The manager here refuses to take any ownership of issues and instead lays blame squarely on guests. SHAME ON THE MANAGER AT THIS LOCATION! Ordered Pasta Combo. Bad choice for lunch. Stick with pizza. Apparently reheated leftovers -- Warm to touch -- COLD ON INSIDE and a side of soggy lettuce. [Can't call it salad-a few bites and clearly this was leftover and not fresh. EW. Shocked. Food was cold and not edible and certainly not appearing like photo of pasta combo. What you see is how it arrived to me. Basically a bowl of cold sauce haphazardly delivered! NOTHING like Mockingbird or Rockwall locations. Truly disappointed in MANAGEMENT arguing why I didn't call yesterday - LUNCH WAS OVER AND I was busy puking 🤢 🤮 over the gum wrapper in food bag that had chewed gum inside. The manager was rude and condescending AND THE reason they weren't contacted right away is lunch was over and some people work late at night and the store was no longer open when I tried to reach out. I also waited until the lunch rush was over the following day. Again, that was a courtesy that was not reciprocated by management. I tried to go directly to manager by contacting him directly BUT he failed to offer to either remake or refund and instead chose to argue. That said--I told him with over 3.5 million views of my Google Maps page, maybe he would be willing to re-consider either a remake or refund. He declined and chose this path. WAITING ON MANAGEMENT AT THE DOWNTOWN LOCATION TO START MAKING CAMPISI'S FOOD TASTE LIKE CAMPISI'S FOOD AGAIN AND NOT LEFTOVER, COLD SLOP. I tried to settle this privately but as a top local guide I want to forewarn visitors and guests that have never tried Campisi's. Should management at the downtown location attempt to correct this oversight and immediately correct their lack of good will, the review WILL BE UPDATED -[WHEN RESOLVED]. UNTIL THEN? DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND AVOID THIS CAMPISI'S LOCATION AT ALL COSTS-PIZZA HUT PIZZA INN WOULD WORK IN A PINCH. HECK. EVEN DOMINOES! THE COLD BOWL OF RAISIN BRAN CEREAL I HAD AT 11PM WAS TASTY.

I decided to treat myself to Campisi's in downtown Dallas for my Birthday! I haven't been to this location is 9-10 years. Once upon a time I worked right around the corner, I was a regular for lunch as well as take and bake pizzas for our family Italian Night every Friday. The location has been remodeled. It looks great! My family has created many memories at this location. When my sons were young my wife would bring them to the office for lunch and we went to Campisi's. The downtown location has multiple dining rooms. This makes for family friendly atmosphere AND they have an area that is ideal for date night. Valet parking means you don't have to hunt for a spot to park. We started with Bruschetta. It was outstanding - I haven't had it in so long. It was like going home and mom made my favorite. Our waitress was Pierson - she soon brought out our main entree. Spaghetti for me and my wife had Lasagne for my wife. It's been so long I ordered the wrong sauce - not a problem - Ari quickly brought out a cup of piping hot sauce that was my old favorite. Everything was prepared perfectly - pasta was not overcooked - meatballs were large, hot and so very good. All in all it was a very good visit. The location is suitable for families as well as dates, it's easy in and out with valet parking. Very clean booths, dining room AND the rest rooms were nice and clean. The staff is very friendly and attentive - our server was Pierson and the manager was Ari. Menu items are very affordable. Food is served quickly, hot, and the order was accurate and complete on the first run. I recommend you visit Campisi's whether you live in Dallas or suburbia - we drove from McKinney - In town on business - it's worth the trip.

Campisi's in Dallas is a true gem when it comes to lunchtime dining, and the lemon herb chicken lunch special is one of the best-kept secrets in the city. This dish offers a perfect balance of flavor, portion, and value, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a satisfying midday meal. The lemon herb chicken is the star of the plate, cooked to perfection with a tender and juicy interior. The lemon and herb seasoning adds a bright and flavorful dimension, making each bite refreshing yet robust. The chicken is well-marinated, ensuring that the flavors are infused throughout, and the grilling process gives it a nice, slightly charred finish that enhances the overall taste. Accompanying the chicken is a serving of garlic bread that’s both soft and crispy, with just the right amount of garlic butter to complement the meal without overpowering it. It’s a simple but effective addition that adds to the comfort factor of the lunch. The meal also includes a fresh salad, offering a light and crisp counterbalance to the rich flavors of the chicken and bread. The salad is well-composed, with fresh greens, tomatoes, and a tangy dressing that ties it all together. Campisi’s lemon herb chicken lunch special is more than just a meal; it’s an experience that combines quality ingredients, expert preparation, and a cozy atmosphere. It’s a delightful lunch option that remains one of Dallas’ best-kept secrets, offering exceptional value and taste.

Message in this review is: give grace and be kind. Things happen. It’s how we handle the things that matters….

I would’ve given 5 stars BUT service was slightly questionable on this particular order so 4 stars is sufficient … So, when I ordered ….there was an initial hour delivery time which was fine. 1 H 20 Minutes passes and i call as there is no way to track your order when ordering directly from their site…. I was told another few minutes as the driver was having car trouble. Ok. Cool. 30 more minutes passes and i call back to hear from the very non customer service oriented woman answering yet again that the driver has had car issues and they will now remake the order PER THE DRIVER request (thank you, driver whom i never got your name) anyway, there was minimal concern on her part which honestly…. Should’ve been her job considering… She’s customer facing. Sorry not sorry, I’m a customer service manager… anyway. I agree to the remake and another 30 minutes passes with no food. We are hungry at this point and i call to cancel … a gentlemen answers who is much more apologetic than the previous woman… which was appreciated but he just let me cancel the order apologizing not acknowledging he remake which should’ve been en route or idk. It was all a lil off. He did say this isn’t their norm and I get that but what the heck? Lol anyway, he refunds my order (i didn’t mention door dash had also cancelled my order with Campisis 1st, i assumed this isn’t their fault but maybe short staffed? Allowing grace, we are all goin thru it) nonetheless, I’m hungry now lol ,.. order was refunded and gentlemen was apologetic asking what happened and claimed this is not their forte, please give them another chance. I may at this point but moreso due to the driver ….. after this call, the driver shows up like 15 minutes later while we were looking for other food to get…. He has our order along with our other pizza - not sure what happened to the rest of the 1st order at this point but he also says he knows it’s free and we can have it or not… We accepted the order sans the extra pizza - i hope he ate it or gave it to an unsheltered citizen per my request. With ALL THAT SAID…. Every day Hd it’s challenges and the drivers car issues were nobody’s fault - the way they ended up handling it (they, meaning the driver who was extra apologetic and the gentlemen who cared to ask what went wrong) things happen. It’s how the things are handled that truly matter. The food is actually great as this is my 1st experience with Campisis and I will 100% give them another chance providing i don’t have to fight for multiple charges on my card now lol please give the driver a lil something as he was truly concerned we may never give ya all another chance. He cares about your business. Happy Holidays 🌲 be...

I had to share, i was so disappointed in a normally customer forward restaurant. Last night, my gf and i decided to order Campisi's last night. I placed an order online, nothing complicated....meatballs, artichokes, olive salad with chicken, garlic bread (of course!) italian sausage, and veal picatta. I received the confirmation email at 7:19p for a 7:45 pick up. Bc my gf was on her way over, instead of the ASAP option, with an estimated pick up of 7:43p, I set it for 7:45p. I like round numbers and figured 2 minutes wouldnt make a difference. I walked over and was greeted by Mitch after he had finished taking care of the customer before me. He even hooked him up with extra sauce for one of the dishes. When i gave Mitch my name for the order, he said he couldnt find it. I showed him my email and order, he took a minute on his computer to look, but ended up just taking a picture of my order on his phone and told me he'd get the order in and call me when it was ready. By the time it was ready, it was nearly 8:30p. I was a little disappointed when I greated with the excuse of "as soon as you left, we got the order so we made it right away". Seemed a little too convenient. We asked it there was anything he could do for us in this situation bc they clearly had an issue on their end and we were almost an hour out from the original pick up time. We waited quite a while while mitch summoned Jonathan the manager. We explained the situation and his response was the same at Mitch..."we got the order right after you left and we made it when we received it" ...deflecting blame away from their mess up. His only offer for appeasing an unhappy customer was 10% off...which is less that what I tipped!!! He offered no apology, no effort on his end to rectify their mistake and yes, the food was cold and very subpar. For what is supposedly a nice place, Jonathan was very unaccommodating in fixing an order that THEY messed up. I will be informing all I talk with to avoid that...
