Let me start off by saying, as a Marketing/PR professional, I've called this business several times trying to speak to management before posting this review. If I could give 0 stars I would. I took several mothers here for mothers day because they "Didn't want to do anything fancy" and that's exactly what we got. There were only two people in this place when we arrived. The waiter(Damien) immediately told us that he was about to get off of his shift and made us feel rushed to order. Our food was cold and the steaks were overcooked. We were told that we could not get dining utensils because they were still being washed from the night before. Let me remind you, we arrived 5 pm and there was a total of 7 people in the establishment. I ordered a drink with an extra shot and was told I didn't receive the extra shot because "It costs more!" I know how much a shot is and was well aware of that before ordering it. Very insulting. Our food finally arrived and all my daughter ordered was a baked potato. Everyone else had a baked potato included on their plate and they stated hers would be last. When I asked to speak to management Damien was very rude and disrespectful and asked if "I wanted a discount or if I was trying to reprimand him?" I never mentioned or asked for a discount. I wouldn't go to this place again if it was free. If the service was at this level when it was empty, I could imagine what it would be like if there were 12 people patronizing the place at the...
Read moreWent there Saturday with some friends. The place was super hot. We had to make fans out of boxes or else it would've been unbearable. The AC was out. The food is over priced for the quality. I know it's called Cheapsteaks but I didn't think it would taste like cheap steak. It was super tough. The place is a bit run down. The mimosa towers are overpriced, they've gone up to $50 and barely have any champagne in them. I will not be back. The only good thing was the music and my friends being there to suffer with me. There are far better places to go within walking distance of there and that's what we did.
Edit: This is certainly not spam and you need to grow up. I have photos and videos for proof. Instead of being an a hole why don't you fix your issues. The energy you're spending on Google to say that we're spamming you should be spent looking for an hvac person and deep cleaning the place. The food being bad is my personal opinion that place being filthy and hot is a...
Read moreCheapskate Bar is the kind of hidden gem that makes you feel like you're in on a secret the rest of the city hasn’t figured out yet. Affordable drinks, chill vibes, and a no-frills atmosphere that hits just right—this place gets it.
But let me tell you something: the true star of Cheapskate isn’t on the drink menu—it’s Sunny. Oh. My. God. SUNNY. This bartender isn’t just pouring drinks—they’re out here crafting experiences, channeling some kind of mixology sorcery with a side of charisma that could light up the whole block. Sunny is equal parts therapist, hype-person, and cocktail wizard. They remembered my drink after one visit and had me laughing like we were old friends by the time I finished it.
Seriously, if you go to Cheapskate and don’t sit at the bar with Sunny, did you even go?
10/10—grab a drink, tip well, and prepare to become a lifelong...
