Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams — Restaurant in Dallas

My daughter and I are huge fans of Jeni's, so we searched for the closest location after a night at the movies. We were directed to Victory Park. The street is extremely busy with limited parking, so it was great to find a parking lot just across the street.

The issue for this location is the staff. There was a line outside the door. When we walked in, the young lady yelled, "We have too many people in here! The last two ladies that walked in need to go back outside!" We were all looking at her, shocked at her tone, so why then said, "We can only have 6 people in here at a time, so you have to step back out, I'm sorry!" I apologized (even though there's no notice posting the rule), we stepped back out, leaving 8 people inside. When we entered, 2 other people came in behind us but were not told to exit. This was off-putting.

In addition, the girl's (who was yelling) shirt was extremely dirty and the waffle cone wedges were stale.

I understand this is a high traffic area, and she was probably stressed, but there are things the company can do to help like post signage on the entry door and ensure the staff follows checks-and-balances for fresh food.

The flavors of the ice cream are so unique and yummy! Their waffles cones are to die for, so fresh! The workers helping us were awesome too, great customer service.

Giving three stars because the portions are so small. It’s $7 for 2 scoops of ice creams, and when say scoops they really mean one small scoop. You know how most ice cream places take the scoop into the ice cream like 2-3 times & that’s a scoop? Not this place. I paid $20 for 2 orders of their signature 2 small scoops & a drink. That’s wild. I loved jenis. But this place is Newley open and not like the other stores. The experience is not the same and it’s kinda bland. Some employees are really nice and give good suggestions but the rest are rude and you can tell they don’t care. I remember these two names. dawn and I believe the store manager is venessa. These two never help employee when it’s busy or help customers with questions about the menu. Mind you if they wouldn’t have told me not to record I would have evidence of water bugs/roaches, and flys....
