Kajun Konnextion — Restaurant in Dallas

I wanted to take my friend from SC to this restaurant solely based on the video reviews. We parked in the parking garage and a guy sitting in his car asked if we were looking for the restaurant..He kindly provided us with directions on where it was located. I made a remark to my friend that the parking garage in the area where this guy’s car was located smelled like a substance that wasn’t flowers. When we walked in the door, we immediately noticed that the restaurant was not full. There were maybe 12 people there. I made positive comments about the ambiance. We stood there reading the sign that stated that we wait to be seated. We waited, as waitresses and servers walked right past us without saying anything. This went on for 12 minutes as we just stood there. My friend wanted to leave, but i went to the bar instead and asked for the owners. He informed me that they were not there. So, I told him that we have been waiting to be seated for at least 12 minutes. He just apologized. Note, there were plenty of seats. We stood there and watched the servers service people that were sitting close to where we were standing, and no one ever acknowledge that we need to be seated. The person that was delivering the wine in boxes at the front of the restaurant was more personable than the restaurant’s personnel. We decided to leave. THEY NEED TO REMOVE THE PICTURE OF THE CRAB LEGS FROM THEIR SITE!!! The food was ok I had the lamb chops which were cooked perfect and lacked seasoning. The huge portion of mashed potatoes compared to asparagus was confusing and again not seasoned well at all. The service was ok I was disappointed about the starters arriving time. We ordered our meals well after starters and drinks but all the food arrived within minutes of each other. Our server was really nice though. We left just in time because the young crowd going in were loud and rude in the tight spaced parking lot. On the better side of things I had the grilled oysters and they were pretty good and my cousin had the tacos which she said they perfected because they were really good. Kajun Konnection never misses! They serve up some of the best soul food and Cajun dishes I’ve ever had it’s the perfect mix of bold flavor, comfort, and Southern hospitality. Every bite feels like a home-cooked meal with that extra Cajun kick.

I love visiting all of their locations; the quality and experience are always consistent no matter where I go. On top of that, they really know how to celebrate whether it’s a major holiday or a fun seasonal moment, they always offer great deals that keep me coming back.
