Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers — Restaurant in Dallas

I honestly love Cane's. There are three convenient locations en route to my home, and my dear partner works at a 4th location. It's a frequent stop for late night dinners, as someone who works closing shifts in another fast food establishment.

On the night of May 30th (early morning of May 31st) however, I was extremely disappointed with this particular location regarding both the service and food I received.

I came in around 12:54 AM, 66 minutes before close, and was right behind a customer who was clearly heckling and trying to get a rise out of whoever was on the other side of the speaker. I order a Caniac with no slaw and extra fries, an Arnold Palmer, and an extra sauce on the side for $18.63, and have no problems placing the order.

I reach the window and the cashier (my receipt says Hope) clearly isn't in a good mood. I handed her $23.63, and my receipt even says I'm expected $5 in change, but I was given nothing aside from my bag (they gave me hot sauce upon request), and a regular size cup of water, and my receipt. I was told to fill out the survey in a snarky tone, and encouraged to get moving.

Frankly, I'm both disappointed and disgusted by that service. As someone who works in fast food, frequently closes, and works the window more often than not, I understand what it's like to get a massive line right before we're ready to close, I understand how annoying it can be to be on the sour end of a bad joke from someone at the drive-thru, but everything about how I got treated was completely unacceptable. I understand that most of those people who come by so late just got off work themselves and couldn't get in any sooner, and that's why I greet them with the same smile at 11:59 that I do at 5:43.

There's no valid excuse to treat a customer poorly, and it's especially invalid if it was because the customer BEFORE me was problematic. If the person who took my order truly was so upset by the last customer, I know most, if not, all of the people in the store could've taken her place since drive is the first thing most associates are taught at Cane's.

Sincerely, I expect and hope for better, and am still excited to return next time, but this visit simply wasn't up to the...

Review for this visit- called in a tailgate order of 50 tenders and was told to go thru the drive thru and left them know that is what I was picking up and to pay. I did this and the clerk was very nice but had trouble ringing this up and had to get help, which is perfectly fine. I paid with cash(because when I ordered the same thing in December they had trouble ringing it up and charged my card but couldn't give me a receipt and it didnt actually show up for 2 weeks) cash didnt make it easier. The clerk had trouble even with a cash payment. Even with the issues she was still very pleasant but was flustered. I then pulled up to the next window. I waited. Eventually an associate stepped out into the drive thru from the front door holding a large bag. I pulled up to her and apologized stating I wasn't told to pull all the way up and she said'Yes you were" and I said no I wasn't. I asked to make sure there was Cane sauce and she responded "we are not children" I and asked her to put it in the back seat which she did. She then she walked to the door where a second employee was holding the door and she said the other employee " she tried to tell me she wasn't told to pull up" therefore for the 2nd time calling me a LIAR where I could hear it. CLEARLY NOT THE. CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT I EXPECT AND NORMALLY RECEIVE AT RAISING CANES

Update: The manager from this location called and was very nice and apologetic, she sent some gift cards for my family to use. When trying to use them at this location was told we could only use 1 at a time which is not what I was told. Was told we could go thru the driverthru for each giftcard we wanted to redeem. WHAT!!!! This will be my last trip to this location. We left here and went directly to a different location and had bo problem redeeming...

Do not go here tonight on November the 19th because they are sitting here lying and saying that the chicken is supposed to be greasy. Cane's chicken has never been greasy and they are cooking them too far ahead of time as I am watching them do that so they do not have to work. I work hard and then also the fries were old. They put some of the chicken up under the good chicken. Supposed to have been hot and ready so the old chicken was basically rubbery so they are making it to where they do not have to work as hard. Not caring about what the customer thinks. They did not give me my receipt. I asked the manager to cook my food fresh. I asked the front desk to cook my food fresh because I had two orders but that was not the case. They had my food ready and less than 2 seconds and the more I kept getting my first order it was. I squeeze the chicken and nothing but grease came squeezing out of the chicken in the fries were old when I gave them back to them to get me a fresh batch. They still gave me the same thing. Not expecting me to look. They do not want to work. Why do you come if you don't want hard work? Canes is a hard working place you must be ready with all the customers that come through there. They should be waiting to get their food but they are not waiting. If you are going to cook chicken strips, cook them 5 minutes ahead of time, not 20 or 30 or throwing them back inside the grease for customers with heart problems or either asthma will have problems with that like me. I call myself still eating some of them and not feels like I have something in my throat or barely can breathe. Now I have to take my heart medicine tonight...
