The ingredients were fresh and the staff was friendly. (That's about as nice as I can be.)
Unfortunately, they weren't really practicing social distancing (the staff nor customers). I had to tell a customer that they were standing/moving too close to me, and the staff looked at me like I said something wrong. The staff didn't use the provided utensils in each topping bin; they just grabbed them with the gloves. (I have a shellfish allergy so that was definitely concerning.) There's this unspoken (but clearly felt) sense of urgency with making the salads and wraps, but there's a huge bottleneck towards the register that slows things down. (I came on the weekend, so time didn't seem to be a big deal to me.) So I waited to pick toppings and protein based on the "stand here" circles, but the staff made impatient faces and noises at me because I'm the one following CDC guidelines and NOT them. The icing on the experience was the staff removing their masks at the drink station when getting drinks for themselves, and that solidified that location getting a 1-star review from me.
I will not be returning to this location. I'm a big fan of Salata, but this one did not meet expectations at all....
Read moreThe staff only gave you a pinch of topings as you requested throughout the line on both occasions i was here. Lady had very small hands and both times would use 2 or 3 fingers to grab the toppings. I had repeat wanting more on each topping as she never put anything in the bowl, literally 4 spliced pieces of black olives. Clearly she didnt want to have to refill a food item on the tray after 40-50 customers, i guess she fills them at start of the day and is too lazy to do it again. The process was dragged out because i had to tell her to go back each time and add more. She also didnt offer bread, nuts, orif i would like to purchase a drink (both times i visited). The toppings she was going scarce on are extremely cheap, but apprently not as cheap as her. Been to probably 10 different Salata locations, never had this issue, but happened here both times. Wont be back here again, save your $11, and go somewhere else or a different location, you only get half of what you pay for, half a plastic green box of food. Just shocked it happened twice, clearly not a mistake, greedy owner or management or...
Read moreI became accustomed to ordering from another Salata location when I used to work near Preston Center, so I was excited to see this one opening. I've now been 3 times, and have had poor experiences each time. The first time I ordered two salads to go. Both were $10, but one was literally twice the size of the other, and one was DRENCHED in dressing and the other had barely a bit. The second and third times I ordered and paid online. When I arrived to pick up my order, it wasn't yet prepared, and I was basically put to the back of the line while they made my salads. What is the point of ordering online if I still have to wait? All three times, every salad that I ordered had several ingredients we didn't ask for, and lacked ingredients we did request. I speak Spanish, but I still find it frustrating that the only person here who speaks Engliish is the manager, a small, younger guy who's always wearing a suit. This makes it difficult to get an order corrected. Eatzi's is the same price and worlds better, and several other restaurants nearby serve killer salads = I'm never going to...
