Unfortunately, terrible employee behavior and spoiled milk used in the milkshakes tonight (1/17/20).
I picked up a take-out order tonight after finally deciding to give Jake's a chance after waiting nearly 45 minutes to fill a small order many months ago.
Tonight, as I walked in, there was one female employee loudly talking (ranting) to the other three employees. The language used was shocking to hear from anyone working in retail. Even after she realized and acknowledged that I had walked in, the employee continued to drop f-bombs and anything else you wouldn't want to hear. Two other customers were sitting at their table in the restaurant, so it wasn't just me. Clearly that employee doesn't want to be an employee, and shouldn't be.
No biggie. Someone having a bad day and clearly lacking a filter. I was excited to enjoy some Jake's Wayback!
Sadly, when I got home only about 10 minutes later, my wife and kids grabbed their milkshakes, took a sip, and all three looked at eachother and back at me and said that something was definitely wrong with their shakes. After tasting it, it's clear the milk was very spoiled. ...so yeah, the food at Wayback is far from a bargain, and now I'm out over $17 for spoiled milkshakes.
...I'd be hard-pressed to go back now. It's not even worth calling the store to let them know they're using spoiled milk in their shakes, as I'm not sure it would make a difference. If I was lucky enough to have the filter-less employee pick up, I wouldn't be surprised if I got yelled at for calling about it. ...oh well. There's plenty of other places to get food from without an experience like I had tonight.
All told though, the girl who helped me and the two guys all seemed pleasant but clearly uncomfortable with the other...

I ordered 4 kids meals, I asked that one of the drinks be a Oreo Shake for my oldest son. I also asked for 1 bigger cup instead of 2 small cups for another drink and of course 1 last small kids cup.
I was handed the cups as I paid.
The milkshake came to the table and then 10-15 minutes later the food.
About 5 minutes into eating, one of the workers comes to the table with 4 kids cups and says i wasn't charged for the milkshake and I have a big drink cup. Of course I have no idea on this as I placed the order and paid what I was asked to and the food and milkshakewas brought to the table. I had no idea I wasn't charged for the milkshake and didn't realize how big a problem getting 1 bigger cup instead of 2 smaller ones was.
I asked what he wanted me to do as the milkshake was mostly gone already like half of our food.
The dude was tapping the cups on the counter as he was trying to figure out what I was supposed to do to fix their problem and said ok. Only this time. Only this time like I was trying to rob him.
Way to make your customers feel like they need to fix your problems while trying to enjoy lunch with their kids...

Oh, you must have placed with a different location 3. (showed receipt) and response was "oh" Then they 1.made us wait for 20min before starting our order instead of doing the right thing by making ours right away 2.Totally messed up the burgers by giving us burgers from their other order. 3.No manager 4. No apology 5.No nothing!!!! In addition, I lost money cause their incompetence and I was without LUNCH!! WORD TO THE WISE... CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE LEAVING....
