While in Florida from California, my party of 8 wanted food. Padrino's came recommend our hotel staff. There was a 20-minute wait for a table for 8, which is respectable for a busy Saturday night. Service was very fast, we had drinks ordered and back to our table in minutes. The wife had the summer Mojoto, which was super fresh and had a good amount of alcohol in it. I had the Guava beer, which was surprisingly refreshing and a nice change of pace. So we started with 2 orders of the Picadillo Empanadas. They were on the table within 5 minutes, I was so hungry I didn't get a picture. The description states / we were told 4 Empanadas, what we got was 2 Empanadas cut in half, disappointing. The Empanadas were obviously hand-made the crust was golden brown and had a perfect amount of crunch. The Picadillo filling was tasty if be a little bit salty, howeverthe guava salsa offsets the salt, 8/10 would definitely get again. Me and the wife ordered La Paella for 2 this also came very quickly, I was very impressed with the presentation and amount of food / seafood you get there and could not wait to dig in. All of the seafood was super fresh and well prepared. You get 3 Head-on large shrimp IFYKYK , the mussels were huge and super sweet. The scallops were buttery soft and well seasoned. The rest of the shrimp was perfect as well. The only issue with this dish was the rice. It was super salty and "wet" overcooked, Paella is supposed to be all about the seafood and the rice. The seafood they nailed the rice they failed, 8/10 would order again...
Read moreVery disappointed. Have always gone to the one in Hallandale since I was a little girl with my family and it was the best food and experience. The food is not really authentic. When we asked the Server. She said everything was great. But she had not tried it herself. Very overpriced. More like Cuban American . I have gone to little holes in the wall and the food is delicious and fresh. The food came out super fast which that just tells me that they cooked it early in the morning and have it prepped up for someone to come and eat it. The menu was very small not too many options. who does not have chicken chunks and other amazing dishes. When asked if they had any drink specials they told us they do have them but only if you go and sit at the bar in which if you go with children or your night off with your husband and the baby is kind of hard to sit in a bar. De arroz Imperial or relleno had no chicken ,supposedly it was not a regular arroz con pollo, or jam , no veggies, they just made it square with cheese on top,the pork chops were under cooked in which I notice after eating half.. I will not come back definitely not. it's sad since I had a different experience, and this was the first time going with my husband and we saw the new location since usually will go to Outback to have dinner but again will not be going back. If you want real authentic flavorful food definitely go someplace else. The place itself and the decor was fabulous but that's not why...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Padrino's Cuban Restaurant, and once again, it did not disappoint! Having visited other locations of Padrino's, I had high expectations, and I'm thrilled to say that the food and service were beyond outstanding.
The moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff here truly goes above and beyond to make you feel at home, and their knowledge of Cuban cuisine is impressive.
Now, let's talk about the food – it was nothing short of amazing! Every dish was bursting with authentic Cuban flavors, and the attention to detail in each preparation was evident. The menu offers a wonderful variety of options to choose from, and I can't recommend the Ropa Vieja enough – it's a true masterpiece.
The only minor issue I encountered was with the layout and music. While the other Padrino's locations had a more comfortable layout, I found the seating arrangement here a bit less cozy. Additionally, the music was on the louder side, which made conversation a tad challenging. However, these were only minor hiccups in an otherwise fantastic dining experience.
Padrino's Cuban Restaurant continues to excel in delivering top-notch Cuban cuisine. The incredible food and exceptional service more than make up for any minor inconveniences. I'll definitely be returning to savor those mouthwatering flavors again soon. If you're a fan of Cuban cuisine, this place is an...
