Guadalajara's Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Deadwood

I recently dined at Quadalajar’s in Deadwood located in Cadillac Jacks and unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing due to the terrible service. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that the staff was disorganized and inattentive. We waited over 20 minutes just to receive our drinks. Each of us in our party had to constantly remind the waitress for simple refills that would take awhile. At one point in time we were the only party in the restaurant and still took a long period of time to receive some service.

The waitstaff seemed overwhelmed and uninterested in providing a pleasant dining experience. Our waitress was not well informed if select entrees were hot or spicy. One of our party members had to bite the bullet and eat their spicy meal as they didn’t like spicy food and didn’t want to wait an additional 20 minutes for a new meal to be cooked. To top it off, the servers were unapologetic and even a bit rude when we pointed out the mistakes.

Overall, the poor service overshadowed what could have been a decent meal. I hope the management addresses these issues, as the restaurant has potential but needs significant improvements in...

If I could give this restaurant a zero, I would. We were standing at the host desk, there was a couple and a family in 4 in front of us. They seated the party of 2, then addressed the party of 4 in front of us. They never addressed or acknowledged that we were even standing there waiting for a table. I realize they were short handed as it looked like the servers we sitting people, cleaning tables, and waiting tables. That’s fine, I’m a reasonable person, I don’t mind waiting, but after the person returned to the host table, not once, but twice and he NEVER acknowledged we were standing there….no, “I’ll be with you in a minute” anything. Needless to say after 25 minutes, we left. If this is you idea of good customer service, I could teach you a thing or two. I’m sure if your family was treated like this, you would also give a rating as I did. Thankfully there are other options and I hope others take your customer service into consideration. The hotel may need to consider another...

The waitress was the worst. She didn’t pay attention to the table and forgot to fill our drinks up multiple times. Our alcoholic drinks didn’t come until the food got there and they were just sitting at the bar. She literally didn’t care. She has braces so the owners know who I am talking about. She also tried to tack $30 on to the ticket for a tip and it was just added to the total and not showing it was gratuity and our party was only 4 people. Legit fraud going on and who knows how long they have been doing it. I saw on a couple of other reviews where this was done as well. It is sad because we enjoy the spearfish location. I really hope the owners figure this out. Cadillac Jacks is an amazing place and we go there a lot. It is sad this restaurant is in their facility the way they treat people. Cadillac Jacks customer service is always top notch. The manager on duty refunded the $30 they tried to overcharge with a terrible attempt at an apology. Definitely beware...
