Famous Hamburger - Dearborn — Restaurant in Dearborn

After we arrived and we're seated we waited for the rest of our party. A waiter came and asked if we would like anything to drink while we waited. I ordered a Apple juice for my daughter, a lemonade for me, and my friend order a water. Well he got 2/3 right. I got my lemonade, my daughter got her apple juice, but my friend never got his water. The rest of our party arrives. We wait and wait for somebody to take our order. Waiting waiting, servers just walking by our table. Waiting some more. It wasnt really busy in the restaurant either. Finally someone comes to take our order. We place our order. My friend reorders his water at this time. Our food was out in a somewhat reasonable time. Burger was ok, not well seasoned at all. But the waffle fries are amazing!!!! My daughter had fries and chicken nuggets/strips, which honestly could of come from a grocery store in the frozen section. My friend had the loaded tots which were good. Overall the food was ok. Our waiter only came to check on us once. Then he started to attend to other tables besides us. So another waiter saw to us towards the end of the meal. We pay for the meal and I order the strawberry cheesecake milkshake to go, pay for it..... Waiting to get my milkshake as the other half of our party leaves. Still waiting. My friend tries to flag a server, finally gets some one's attention, tells them I'm waiting on a milkshake. Nobody knows what's going on. So after waiting 15 mins I finally get the milkshake. It wasn't even worth it, it's just a strawberry milkshake with some strawberry syrup and a few cheesecake pieces on top. Not flavorful at all. Really bland and had a horrible after taste. For the price of everything and the service we got, I won't...

The good: So the food was mostly great! The fries were all perfectly crispy and the burgers had fresh ingredients and excellent taste! The waiter also let me upgrade my fries to the loaded tater tots which was not an option on the menu. 😉

The meh: Their Juicy Lucy (their most expensive burger) came out as a double with cheese in the middle. If you know what a "Juicy Lucy" is, you probably know the challenges of making one. It's like they took 2 of their regular patties, put a couple slices of cheese in between and just pinched the edges together. What happens is that a gap forms during cooking and the cheese runs out. Not a big deal except when it comes with a premium sticker price. The other thing was the loaded tots. They really slather on the sauces for each layer of tots which some might like, but it got very monotonous for me.

The bad: the one guy in the front of house was doing everything. He wasn't rude, but he is totally oblivious when taking orders. He asked me how I wanted my burger done and being my first time here, I didn't know if they were thick patties or thin, what kind of meat blend they use, how hot their grill is, etc. All of which could have an impact on which doneness would be best. (I love my burgers with pink, but if you get a smash burger with pink, that's wrong). So I asked for chef's choice/preference. The server then suggested that he likes it med/well so he'll "just write that". That's not what I asked for, but even after I explained what I meant and why, I'm not sure he didn't just end up writing that down. So thinking about it, that could've been what sabotaged my juicy lucy.

All in all, it was a decent burger with a good variety of options and. I wouldn't be opposed to...

I wish I could give them NO STAR!!! Finally got some time to write my experience about this place. I heard so much good stuff about this place from my nephew and niece that I decided to take my family of 22 to this place. I can understand that it gets crazy when a group of ppl just come in at once. They took time to cook food which was okay. My burger came at the last. I didn't mind since I was the host. It was served as; all the veggies were out of burger and placed next to the burger which was kind of wired but since it was my first time at this place I thought that they probably serve this way. After further examining the burger it was discovered that it was someone else returned burger which they even taken a small bit out of it.

Shame on them, when I told the waiter he really didn't care like it was normal thing.

It was about a year ago and that was my first and last time I went to that place. I was so ashamed in front of my family.

This trip cost me over $200.00 I think the total bill was like $230 with very very poor customer service.

You should take these reviews as a customer feedback and should take corrective actions, instead your response is we would never ever do this and that. What I should have done is to take some pictures and report the incident to State of Michigan...
