Mezcal Express Dearborn — Restaurant in Dearborn

Yea .. So I'm gonna give this place a SOLID NO!!!!! I was very excited to try this place. I even drove almost 30mins ro get here. I gave the lady my to go order, Then went to wash my hands came back purchased a bottle water and waited almost another 30mins for my food. There seem to be some confusion within the staff as to what I ordered. 🙄 Either way as I stood there waiting several other people and nationalities came inside, some even dining in all received their food as I stood there waiting for mine🫣 When I asked was everything okay the lady at the desk who was very nice nasty, nasty yes I Said nasty twice as that part stood out more🤔 Anywho she was very rude. My egg rolls were sitting on the counter a good 10mins from the time I noticed. Not being kept temperatured or anything. She just kept saying wait. I think they had given part of my order to someone else. So when I recieved my order quite naturally the egg rolls were cold. I'm not a fan of cold food and I'm most certainly not going to eat Berria eggs rolls and the consume cold. TALK ABOUT DISASTER 🥵 Heart burn city... So I gave those back and they had the audacity to re fry the exact same egg rolls SMH!!!!! To keep the peace when she handed me this terrible order back I just requested a refund. Oh well for trying something new. Terrible service and bad food. More than the food cause there are so many restaurants in the world... The service just wasn't thoughtful or considerate. WOULD YOU eat food prepared in such a way? WOULD YOU want people touching and retouching the same egg rolls that have been sent out and then reheated in the same oil other orders will be cooked in??? Lastly She was so petty my total order was like 20.00 bucks. She only refunded me for the egg rolls and not the entire order. She treated me as if I had done something wrong... Like I didn't come to spend money and have a great dining experience like all the other nationalities they were obviously treated better than me. I was geeked and excited to try this place. I'm a huge supporter of local businesses but Mezcal ummm yea THATS A NO FOR ME!

I ordered the Berria Egg rolls and a chicken...

I have come to this spot many times as I do enjoy their mezcal bowl. I ordered two bowls the other day and one of them was a mistake. No problem, all good! However, when I asked the woman who sits with a laptop in the corner who im presuming is owner or management that “if youre going to throw that food out, ill take it no worries!” Of course, as a customer I would not mind the bowl she got wrong as I do not want it to be wasted. The bowl she got wrong was for my friend btw. Anyway, she replies “dont you worry about what we do with the food we dont make it go to waste.”

Here’s the thing she not once apologized for the wrong order. Not even a simple sorry. It was almost as if I was in the wrong for coming back from my car and telling her it was wrong. On top of that, her tone when she said that is condescending and as if I am begging for the food.

As a manager/owner, please learn some basic customer service. She did not want to give me that bowl which btw I went in my car and opened up the lid so I hope she is not giving out touched food to other customers. My question is how much would you lose by giving a customer one extra bowl thats been opened up?? This is cheap behavior that does not resonate with the generosity of the surrounding Arab restaurants. Im almost certain any other good hearted owner would have not minded to give the extra bowl smh.

I will defenitely think twice before i come here again or recommend this place to...

So I found this place scrolling through instagram and it caught my heart right away! It’s a cute little place you can dine in at in Dearborn! The smells outside the building lured me in and I’m such a sucker for some good birria tacos and I have been searching for the good stuff! I ordered the quesabirria and my husband ordered the 3 birria taco order! He got 3 crispy birria tacos in a corn tortilla that was phenomenal and I got birria con queso sliced to perfection in a flour tortilla it was so freaking amazing! I literally didn’t even care about my surroundings anymore while eating this as you know it can be messy and I was not concerned at all because it was so delicious like go ahead and judge me because I will not stop eating this for anybody! It was everything I wanted it to be! AND Halal!!!! Y’all this was church!!! I was actually sad while eating it because it was going away lol y’all know I had to order dessert to take home I went home with some flan it was also very delicious 🤤 I will most definitely be back asap to try the birria ramen!!! 😍😍 I tried my best not to swear in this review lol just try this place you will not be unsatisfied!!!...
