TLDR: The food, atmosphere, and service were terrible, and we were given a hard time over our service dog.
First, my family and I were rudely "greeted" and given a dirty look over our service dog. Second, after we took turns going to the buffet, and keeping our service dog seated under our table area, we were approached by the owner, telling us they were "losing customers" because of our service animal. However, we are protected by the law. There was even a sign posted on their door that said service animals were welcome.
Not only that, but the food was gross; my mom even said that one of her sushi rolls smelled rancid. The food lacked flavor and was not good quality at all. It was very affordable, but not worth the money. We didn't expect much, considering it was a buffet, but Kouyou Buffet in Coconut Creek was amazing. I highly recommend that over this place as the food and atmosphere were much better.
The Florida Disability Rights states:
"Public accommodations and commercial facilities: Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the regulations implementing it prohibit businesses that are open to the public from excluding a service animal from entering their establishments. Such businesses are called public...
Read moreAbsolutely Horrible in every way imaginable!!!! (Claims to be under new Managment, not sure if new Managment has ever managed a restaurant before)
First off I went up to get some sushi, and of course to my luck there was no salmon or tuna left and there was nobody to ask, if they could make more or not. So after waiting 10 minutes somebody popped out of the kitchen and I was able to ask them to make some more salmon. They made 4 pieces and than left. The quality of the fish wasn't comparable to any other sushi buffets I've ever been to. (No I didn't expect it to be amazing for the price of the buffet) I later went back up to get more and of course there was no salmon or tuna left and once again (nobody to ask to make more sushi)
Overall I'd truly just avoid this place in general, the service was horrible, the food was even worse, (cooked food included) and personally I'd be a little worried about getting sick from the food.
Don't let the "Under New Managment" sign fool you. Who ever truly runs this place, does not care for the well being of this place.
Thank you and I hoped I was helpful.
And of course for everyone thinking the obvious, I do understand that (You get what...
Read moreI gave it a 5 star because it's good for buffet food. I really like the mixture of hot foods. I can get a huge amount of all different hot cooked asian foods. Different cooked chicken recipes, steak recipes, pork recipes, shrimp, crab, spring and egg rolls, dumplings. Different dipping sauces. You can have pot stickers, you can have different kinds of asian noodles or rice or my favorite the egg drop soup. The cook will fry up for you something customized if that is your thing. I also like to get a big plate of the sushi. They make it beautifully. There is a dessert table too. Ice creams, cakes, jello, pudding, tapioca, fruit and flan. Lunch during the week is $8.50. I have never ever ever had anything not fresh here. I have never eaten anything that tasted funny or had a bad experience. I have been eating here for probably around 5 or 6 years and a few of the employees even remember me and my family. My whole big family has been eating here for a long time too and relatives that visit from out of state and they all love it too. I live in Deerfield and it's the best that I know of in this town or the neighboring town....
